It's been posted on here and most dirt sheets so, I'm sure by now we've all read the rumor...
" WWE is still looking for their next big African American star and will be pushing Kofi, MVP, JTG and Shad on SmackDown with the idea being to see which one gets over the best. One source wouldn't be surprised to see Shelton Benjamin return to the company."
So if this is true, Who would you like to see get the push?

Financially, they should definitely push Kofi. The younger fans seem to really get behind him and he could become one of the company's next top faces (if he wasn't already) with ease. However, out of those mentioned, I prefer Shelton by a mile. Every year he steals the show in the Money in the Bank ladder match, he's the most athletically superior and his matches are by far the most enjoyable imo. Why the hell did they release him again?

I'd say MVP if this was 2007. Seriously, the guy was amazing back then for being a rookie. Now it'd have to be Kofi.

MVP or if they rehire Shelton, then him.

Kofi got my vote. He is popular and pretty entertaining so I want him to get the push. If they ever planned to push Shelton then the dumbasses should not have fired him in the first place.. MVP would be my third choice with Shad and JTG never getting consideration from me..

I want it to be Benjamin but WWE will pull a WWE and won't. So Kofi is the next pick.

Let me just start off by saying, this might just be the dirtsheets being the dirtsheets. I'm a HUGE fan of Montel's and I'd absolutely MARK if he got a main event push. I think he deserves it and is probably one of the most wasted people on the roster. And by wasted, I mean a guy who could potentially be an awesome world champion but due to crapty booking, was cut short. With WWE PG, I'm surprised they're not milking his life story for all it's worth. And yes, I'm aware some people went sour on him due to him not being a "cool heel" anymore, just like they do when 90% of guys go face. It's whatever to me, I know he can do his character very well and WWE are preventing him from breaking out. Anybody who says it's on him, is an idiot. He's done very well when he's by some miracle, actually gave a chance. He actually made the US title seem important again, and gets huge pops when he calls out a top heel like Randy Orton or CM Punk. And don't go with that popped in BS, just cause he's on Smackdown, doesn't mean they're popped in. The crowd chant "MVP, MVP, MVP", it's not the segull pop. And it's most certaintly, not the conway pop.
If this is true, then I'd choose MVP by a continent mile. He's got the total package and has all the abilities to be the guy on Smackdown. Heel or face, but perferably heel, he SHOULD be pushed. This rumor says Kofi Kingston may be going heel, that would be awful. And IMO Kofi just makes a solid midcarder, he's not the type of guy I'd say could be the top guy...

I'd love for Shelton to come back to a monster push. I'd love if he came back and got a fresh start. I heard he actually left to get a degree, cause he wanted to become a physical therapist. True story... and since he's on the alumni page on WWE.com, I'm guessing that the release was mutual and he will probably return in the near future. By fresh start, I mean no blonde hair and no gold standard. I think that he was always better before that BS.

Kofi - He's pretty over and has the high-flying ability that fans love, and ever since dropping the Jamacian accent and getting Red and Silver attire, he can be considered a serious World Championship contender. The downside is his actual wrestling has taken a hit since "STUPID, STUPID!", as he isn't quite the same In-ring-wise. But hey, if the perceived "Green" Jack Swagger or Slower Undertaker can rule SmackDown, why can't Kofi?
MVP - The crowd cares for him in sperts, but the way he's been booked since being Drafted to RAW last year and even a little now as a SmackDown Superstar would make it hard to believe he could rule SmackDown. He would be best suited to win MITB and Cash in as a Face on Swagger, but that may just be me. His wrestling's okay, his Mic work is crappy for the most part, but a lot of Faces have that problem now. As a Face, I just don't know.
JTG - Really? Why is he even being considered? He's a decent Mid-Card competitor but I don't think he would last a week as a realistic World Champion. Just no. Let him feud with McIntyre for the IC Belt.
Shad - The most likely candidate, and has the attributes to be a World Champ on SmackDown. He's got the look, he's got the charisma to a degree, and despite the PPV loss to JTG, he just comes off as a great potential Main Eventer. Plus, he has the customary Heel Dress Code of a nice Suit. You know the "WWE Universe" hates men in well-tailored suits.
Shelton - No. Almost no chance of coming back. He doesn't have the Mic skills, he doesn't have the charisma and he's too old to be brought back in RIGHT AFTER being Released and suddenly dominate a Brand he couldn't get out of the Mid-card on.
Final Verdict: Kofi. He just has everythinh needed to be a Main Eventer, and he could provide better Matches with top Heels than Shad could with top Faces.

I know everyone is off of his bandwagon but I say MVP. Hes long overdue...he just NEEDS to be a heel.
