Hi Fellow Posters of the Custom Accessories Board This is your friendly Moderator Nate It has been a while since i have posted but I am always reading what is being put up on this corner of WF. I have been very lax as of late but after seeing loads of posts that go against the rules of this section it is time to lay down the hammer. Many of you may have noticed your threads have been deleted or locked. If you don't know why, here are the reasons. I urge everyone that posts here to read this message carefully. 1. The custom accessories forum is meant for the display of custom accessories made by WF members. 2. This is not the place to generate interest in a product of yours. If you have something that you happen to sell that you have custom made then you are welcome to display it. But don't tell me what you are going to do. Do it and then show us all. Nobody wants to see what your thoughts are with out seeing a custom accessories. 3. It is inappropriate to post help threads on this forum. Many of those questions have been answered many times over. Please refer to the custom accessories help thread here: wfigs.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=custacc&action=display&thread=1253Or the custom support center: wfigs.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Customs24. If you are displaying an arena set up this must be a custom made item. Entrances and arena displays that are made of manufactured items from Jakks, Mattel or any other company do not make custom accessories. I do however encourage you to post your arenas with NON custom parts here : wfigs.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=custacc&action=display&thread=1419This helps to give users an idea of what they can make with their stuff. 5. Locked threads: All threads older than 1 month will be locked to keep new work at the top page. All threads with images that do not work will be locked. If you want to fix the images please pm me and will unlock them. I will be aggressively working to clean up the Custom Accessories board. Please do you'r part by following these rules and letting posters know when they violate them. Take care and have fun, Nate

Lmfao, you did this cause of my topic. Talk about biased modding. Disgraceful, where else am I supposed to post it, if a topic is in the wrong board, you MOVE it, you don't DELETE it. Well the problem is there is no place on WF to post things that you will possibly be selling one day. The only place remotely appropriate for this would be the classifieds. The problem is that this is not allowed there since you don't have a product. There is a perfectly appropriate way to handle this. Step 1. Stop trying to slander people on WF. Step 2. Make your proposed item. This will allow people to see it and judge it based on what it is not on what you project to make it be. Then you would have a custom accessory to display here. But seriously buddy. Just think of what you are doing. Who wants to read through a bunch of "what I plan on making" threads. No one cares about what you are going to do. Do it and then we will care. If you want to teas about your future endeavors, then that is fine, but do it in a thread where you have shown some of your work. (for example I have given hints about my future projects at the end of posts showing my current work). If you really pay attention, you will notice that your post was not the only one removed. There were others in violation as well. I encourage everyone to sound off and let me know how you feel about this.

I haven't got the materials to make it yet, I was seeing if there was a demand before I started, its called market research.
Also, you have posted poll's about which skirt you will make next before, so yeah, its not like you have never done this.

I may have posted polls but not with out displaying new custom accessories. Any poll I have posted was to see what people wanted to see displayed and had nothing to do with market research. I understand that you are angry. You had an idea and pursued it the wrong way. But i told you how to pursue it the right way. Your main error is you went about this the wrong way. I started making ring skirts as a personal passion. I wanted them for myself. You started this to try to make cash. My advice is for you to earn your reputation first.

I don't collect figures anymore, I am not trying to just get money, I also want to offer something unique... There isn't really any other site where I can research who wants to buy ringskirts is there, this is the main and only decent figure site on the net.

Interesting arguments because A. you said this: Oh and yeah, thanks for sabotaging my way of getting a bit of extra cash on the side. And B. as you said your idea is not unique. Don't mistake my enforcing board rules as personal attack to snuff out competition cause it is not. There are a few people that have made ring skirts. Some even openly sell them such as Roosta from Australia. But he didn't go to WF and make a post that was against the rules. Do what you plan on doing. Fine. But invest the time, money and effort necessary to make a custom accessory before you post here. Your Friendly Neighborhood Mod Nate In other news i Have really been impressed in the quality improvement of most posts here lately. Just trying to make sure the standard of quality continues.

I'll say this once...
WF is not here for anyone to generate an income or extra money. If anyone wants to do that, please find an appropriate outlet for that because it's not here. Yes we do have classifieds boards and those are here to help one another to find the needs of the common interest of the hobby.

There wasn't a rule about it until after the topic was made, thats why. Listen you made a mistake. It's okay. I corrected you, others have corrected you and now we are giving you suggestions on how to pursue your goal. Look at the forerunners of the custom accessories world. Doinit619 and Ralph (LLD) to name a couple. Also the legends of the custom's forum. They post what they make all the time. They show their great work and show it off well. They never come on and clog up boards or sub-boards with "market research." This sub board is to show off your custom work and get ideas from the work of others. Also to comment on the hard work that others have done. It is not to tear other people down. And it is not a place for entrepreneurs to do market research.

There wasn't a rule about it until after the topic was made, thats why. Clearly you did not read the TOS. It is there. No advertising of any kind.

Clearly you did not read the TOS. It is there. No advertising of any kind. I didn't advertise anything, I posted something and asked for feedback, there was no advertising. You posted feedback for an idea. This isn't an idea board. What feedback would you have expected anyway. You basically said you were going to make a business with super fast turn around of product and shipping. An appropriate post would have been to have made your accessory, posted it, and gotten feedback on what you made.

Why would I order a crapload of materials and make something without asking people if they want it... I got good feedback from people and no one queried that it was in the wrong board.
There's no point in me doing it anymore, since you have pretty much sabotaged my reputation

I don't see why help on Custom Accessories is against the rules, where else can you go to get it.

It's not that it's the wrong board. It's that it's not allowed on the forums at all. Three people have stated that. A member, a mod, and an Admin. I believe you are mistaken. I did not sabotage your reputation. I simply corrected your mistake. Your response to that was to attack my reputation as a moderator. All i did was respectfully defend myself. I even went as far as to tell you how to do what you wanted to do the right way. You don't have to buy a large amount of stuff to make something. You can easily buy a small amount to test out your idea. And I encourage you to do so. I would love to see what you could come up with. Just stop wasting your energy on bickering here and fighting a loosing battle. And put that energy into your custom accessory and you will move towards what you desire. Best of luck. Why would I order a poopload of materials and make something without asking people if they want it... I got good feedback from people and no one queried that it was in the wrong board. There's no point in me doing it anymore, since you have pretty much sabotaged my reputation

dont you think the board is a bit dead to be giving out all of these strict rules? Are you kidding? Have you seen the belts and recent arenas that have been posted. Not to mention clothing. I know that i have contributed allot in the past to help with this as well including 2 hell in a cells, one cage, In your house set, and dozens of ringskirts. Good accessories take time. They don't get the attention that custom figures due so it's a bit more of a thankless job but I believe that this board is far from dead. A bit of a low point maybe but seems to be improving.
