Just what the poll suggests. Who buys what, where?
I pose this question because this is the first time, pretty much ever, that I have turned to online buying as the main source to find figures. I blame that largely on Mattel and the distribution because I am absolutely tired of the roller coaster that has been finding these figures at stores. Its either hit or largely miss and the release dates are all over the place depending on where you live. In comparison, you know when to expect the figures from online outlets and largely the extra money is spent on shipping. At least for me, I haven't paid anything in mark up.
In reality I'm pretty much 50-50 but I was a little surprised at how much I have used ebay for this line.

Purely in store. The ONLY mattels ive bought online are 1/1000s which arent available here. Here, the stores have been consistently stocking everything i wanted and i havent needed to resort to online which is what id prefer because the extra cost, shipping charges and the wait of online can be a hassel.
And my mattels have pretty much been purchased at one store (Kmart) with very few exceptions. Mattel are on their game here.

Ill say stores. I do purchase A little online but not much... Purchased an Elite 1 CM Punk a month ago (missed out on it) from RSC then last week an Elite 4 Kofi Kingston (not patient for this one) and PPV3 Beth (for A custom but my stores were sold out of her so again, not patient to wait for it). I also bought 2 Legends on Amazon mainly because they were only $16 with free shipping and I had A few bucks left on A giftcard.
other than those 3 orders I do all of my buys in store.

I get the majority of mine in stores here, however lately I have been doing the online thing with members here.
I want to support RSC, but I'm afraid when ordering mass produced figures from a retailer, and not having a collector - who'll look at paint apps, and search for cosmetic flaws like I would - send them out. There are three guys here in the past month that have hooked me up with figures from their own stores, and have let me reimburse them. This way, I'm not playing Russian Roulette with smudges, runs, or having a pupil misplaced on an eye.
I'm a little bit of a perfectionist on my figures, and if I can't be in a store myself looking over several figures, and picking the best on the shelf, I feel more comfortable having someone like-minded do it for me, rather than relying on someone in a warehouse grab anything and toss it in a box.

Everything at mass retail. Unless it's either something I can't wait the extra month or two for it to show up locally in which I'll order it from RSC...or if it's an on-line exclusive then I'll order it from whoever it's exclusive to.

I only buy online if I can't find in store for some reason or if they are internet exclusives.

I stay away from ebay because the prices are a joke and I don't see why I should have to pay more for a figure loose when I can get it cheaper new online somewhere else.
I usually go figure hunting in the stores and keep a watchful eye on here to get an idea of what's popping up and what isn't. Then my last resort is usually either RSC or WWE Shop Zone.

Im more a online buyer these days. If its a figure i really like, i'll order it online to get it quicker or if they are around store price i'll get them too.
If not i'll try wait it out.

As I've said before, I can find almost anything at retail around here minus Cody Rhodes. So I rarely buy online anymore outside of Blue Elite Jericho and an old AJ Styles figure.

Online. Not seeing many of the Mattels in store. Typical Mattel distribution issues. Stores get one case like once a month.Or at least that's how it seems. Wasn't like that for the first few waves, but I think that may have been a misnomer as Mattel likely had stocked up.

For wrestling figures, mostly stores. I will look to buy or trade for a figure in Classy Fieds before overpaying at an online retailer.

Mostly online since my options of finding them in stores is pretty poor. Sometimes I do find stuff in stores but I prefer to get figs from RSC. Much easier to buy exactly what I want rather than to get lucky shopping at stores.
