The past month I spent about $300 on figures. I didn't realize it, but with every set I found, I just threw whatever I wanted in my cart and that was it. Over the past four weeks I've gotten all of Basic 4, all of Two-Packs 4, Elite 4 minus Jericho, RR Punk, Jericho, Edge and Cody, 1 of 1000 Ziggler, EC Batista and McIntyre, and I think that's it. I just find myself buying anything. I can't seem to help it. Does anyone else also feel the same? It's getting a bit out of hand now to be honest. But now, hopefully, I'll take a break. I'm good until series 5 hits which hopefully is not coming soon. haha

I find this happening with DC Universe Classics, but that usually hits only about $130 per series. So, I wouldn't be hitting $300 at one time, but probably in the course of 6 months.

When I'm older, and I'm supporting myself and making my own money, Lord only knows how much I'll be spending on my figs. It'll be like Christmas year round for me! Provided I find a good enough job haha.

I got everyone I really wanted so hopefully for the next month my wallet will get a break but I just started collecting Transformers again so I doubt it!

This is why I only collect Elites (with Legends on the way). I can't afford every figure... even with a good job.

When I get caught up with the Elites and Legends, I'll cut back a good bit.

This is why I only buy figures of guys I am a fan of or that I really think are too cool to pass up. I respect the people who find full sets of stuff but that has never been for me. The same can be said for Legends and EG, actually more important for those lines because they are more expensive than just picking up a basic. This has just always been the way I regulated myself to not going out and buying every guy Mattel puts out.
Its easy to get carried away because these things are awesome but its partly because Mattel is sort of hitting us all at once as well. Impulse is a big issue as well. EC Batista is pretty awesome looking but I have never in my life ever been a fan of Batista. So having him sit on my shelf is something I would probably regret a few weeks from now. Its not the act of spending the money that gets me but the realization a few weeks later that I wasted money that really pisses me off.

I'm buying one of everyone I'm not going to crazy with repaints and elites. I've learned to actually control my spending habit which has become a very good thing as I try and justify a repaint purchase but I left all of Survivor Series, and most of Elite.

The real world sounds all sunshine and roses when you're not living in it but you quickly figure out that all your bills from being in the real world add up. I spent nearly $1400 on crap I didnt need a month when I lived at home. Just whatever I wanted I bought. Now I have my own place and all the bills that go with it and I feel lucky when I can treat myself to a dinner out.............at taco bell

I buy only one figure of each wrestler. What I do is, I'll buy someone, then later on if a better figure comes out, I'll replace that one and then sell my other one on EBAY. That way I never get loaded down with multiples of the same person. Plus, I get alittle cash to replace the money I just spent on the new figure.
Of coarse, there are a few exceptions to my rule. I do buy multiples of some of my favorite people.

I used to do that when I first said the hell with college and I bought almost every figure that ever came out just because the packaging was different yet it was the same exact figure! It makes me sick sometimes thinking of how much money I have spent on figures over the years. I've cut way back in the past two years though because I ended up going back to college.
