Good choice. It is kayfabe based on win-loss records from Aug-Jul. During that time the longest Raw title reign was an 84-day reign by John Cena. The longest Smackdown reign was the Undertaker's 4.5 month reign from Hell in a Cell to Elimination Chamber, so there wasnt a lot of stability in the WWE's world titles.

Eh, I can agree from a kayfabe viewpoint.

I could agree with that. This was probably AJ's best twelve months kayfabe wise. But I sure do miss the days when he was competing against grade A talent almost every week.

AJ is one of the guys that shouldn't be heel, even when he was with Christian or Angle he was just wasted, AJ needs to go face but anyway glad he is #1

AJ was face for a large portion of that time period. He didn't turn heel until like the 4th month of his title reign. Now he is about to be the leader of a new version of the four horsemen. Additionally, if you saw his previous heel incarnation then you know how much better this time around has been. AJ was terrible as a heel before and now he actually generates heat. Regardless, he still puts on world class matches every time he gets into the ring. Face or heel it doesn't matter, AJ Styles consistently puts on some of the best matches in wrestling right now, and that has really been the case since TNA started.

He's had a very good year from a Kayfabe stance, so it doesn't really surprise me.

Me either. Him from 2002-06 was incredible. Exactly, he should have got it somewhere in thattime period instead imo. AJ was great during that time, but he was just a transitional champion then.
