So i went to Toys r Us today and got Kane that was there from series 4. Only Elite 4 left. I talked to the manager and asked if he could see if they had any in the back since i wanted Jo Mo. He checked in the system and said no maybe friday a truck comes in then he told me there should be 18 left out there of the Elite series. I said it was only older sets, he then said they don't order til they are sold out or almost sold out. All of the Elite UPCs or w/e are the same at TRU so it shows they have them no matter what series so series 2,3,and 4 are all the same. So if you have some Ted and Cody's sitting there they prob. aren't ordering any. That could be why they are no being ordered at Walmart too. Just figured i would give a heads up.

So this is the info I need to carry out my plan of hiding all the Elite shelfwarmers, so maybe my TRU will order a new case and get Elite 4 Kofi in stock. haha
I wonder if it's across the board or a store by store basis

All stores work this way, why order more product when what you have isn't moving.

Yes it also depends on what kind of volume the store does. Also with the Basics all single carded Basics have the same inventory # so that's why some stores get PPV abd others don't. As far as the store is concerned they are all just "Mattel WWE Basic $9.99". But as far as Elites go my TRU restocks each wave/series at least 2 times with 2 cases at a time. It was the same with Jakks and their CS waves...They'd restock each Series 2 times throughout the first 4 weeks and that would be it until the next Series. So usually my store would have received 4-6 cases of each Series over that timeframe.

a little advice working there if you want a store to get new things in buy what left and they will and than return the ones you bought either there or another store i done it a few times to get the next wave in and it works make sure if you know the truck say friday do it sometime before wed as that usually when they load the truck the day before it manifested

Stores usually only reorder when the stock is low out or out. |

Forget restocking my TRU still hasn't even received Elite 4 period. I've only found them at one Walmart so far and that's between searching TRU, 3 Walmart's, & 2 Target's.

That's usually the case. I used to work at a TRU although WWE stock usually sold well there were a few sets that didn't and would hold up us getting new sets in. I worked doing HR and training. I would buy the rest or most of the sets that didn't move and return them at a rival location (another TRU) for store credit and then when our store got the new set in I would use that store credit to but the new series. It was like preordering.

That makes sense... I guess. Seriously though, TRU has been very bad with the Mattel line. Things kicked off great back in December when the first wave hit two weeks early... but since then it's been terrible. I've done pretty much all my buying at Target and Wal-Mart.

My local TRU gets about 10 cases of each elite series over time, and usually when a new set is out they'll get 1 case of the new and 2 old. right now there glommed with basic 3 so no royal rumble, elimination chamber or basic 4 yet.

Yeah, here in the Daytona area we havent even seen the Elite 4 or EC. We just got in RR about two weeks ago.

I understand why they do it, but it's kind of stupid to make willing buyers wait while you try to sell off the last of your stock. If one or two guys aren't selling, it's not because the whole line is a poor seller. It's because those couple of figures aren't really wanted. Either set them aside for a couple of weeks and order some new stuff, or try putting them on clearance for a $1-2 off. It'd keep the shelves stocked, and the customers happy.
