Just read issue #1. WOW! This is right now my FAVORITE read over Secondcoming, Invincible Iron Man(which is always awesome), Green lantern, Secret Avengers, Avengers, GI Joe, Transformers and other great stories.
I dont want to spoil it for those who have not read it, but the story basically revolves around the super soldier serum that created Cap. in the first place, being put into the works to be sold to the highest bidder......IE suicide bombers. Someone has claimed to have perfected the serum. Cap. goes in to infiltrate, but finds something else, which shocks him and the the big shocking ending. Cant wait for #2.
Highly suggest anyone who enjoys Secret Avengers, Cap. or GI Joe to pick this up. Sadly, it will be a limited run, but I am throughly enjoying Captain Steve Rogers and his new role in the govt.

while i don't like that steve is the new deadpool apparently (way to overused recently, he's in about what? 4-5 ongoing monthly issues in a dominant portion of the comic?) i am definetly enjoying this title and brubaker is really yet to disappoint with his cap run.

I hate when they get over saturated as well. However, can you name these titles? I know of Super Soldier, Secret Avengers and thats it.

I cant comment on Thunderbolts, as I have no clue about that title. But the Captain America title just has him involved in a current storyline. Its not like he has a limited run series like Super Soldier. The other Avengers title is Avengers, but he is only in #1. He comes in to setup the new Avengers team and does not appear in issue #2.

I'm not saying we arent seeing him a lot in the Marvel Universe, but he is still a lot less than Deadpool or Wolverine. Hell.....Deadpool has tons of limited run series and a couple full runs.

yea, it's sad because i was a huge fan of the original deadpool series, and it got little to no praise from the comic community majorly. now it's just a cluster , his character was actually definable in the original series but now he's just a clown.

True. But I do enjoy reading Merc With A Mouth. Its more for sillyness and laughs than anything else. Its the only Deadpool series I read. Wolverine got so over saturated and became a fanboys wet dream, I couldnt read anything of his anymore. I started Weapon X when it was released.....got it for about 6 months and dropped it. I have so many subscriptions now.....hard to keep up with them. I wish more people would participate in this discussion. I am so amped on Super Soldier right now.

yea, i'm more inclined to only purchase wolverine: origins in terms of wolverine affiliated titles now. that, and x-force is enough wolvie for me.
i'm blown away at how low quality a lot of the one shots they're putting out of him are.

Well, we are seeing Iron Man getting over saturated now as well. And I hear Thor is next, due to the movies. Only Thor series I want to see is a Ultimate universe one.
