this is to all of those that don't currently watch WWE, How do you feel when buying Mattel figures knowing they are from a product you do not pay your mind to watch? for me i didn't want to get them to begin with because I haven't enjoyed A FULL WWE show (not just moments, an actual whole show) since 2006 and stopped watching a few months ago. last thing I have seen was MITB. Now, i feel bad because I am more of a fan of TNA and UFC but yet Mattel figures are obviously better. What are your feelings?

With the figs you can have the matches you want to see and therefore don't have to watch WWE programming.

If you aren't watching, I doubt you'll buy the figures.

If you aren't watching, I doubt you'll buy the figures. SDCC is what got me to buy them. WWE didn't.

If you aren't watching, I doubt you'll buy the figures. Truth. I bought one mattel figure - WM Heritage Austin. Why? 'Cause he was on TV when I watched. I might buy The Rock, too. I still buy Jakks RA/DA figures of people from when I watched. To me, they're just more personal. Even though the Mattel figures are better made, Jakks makes better roster selections for me.

Honestly I've wondered why I buy the figures since I really don't watch wrestling anymore. I'll watch it if I come across it while channel surfing but I can't remember the last time I said "Okay I have to watch Raw this week." Most of the time I try to remember but I end up forgetting in the activity of the week. I feel like it's not as bad as everyone is making it out to be, but at the same time it's not how I remember it being. Regardless I buy the figures! It's really odd to buy the figures when you don't really watch the thing they emulate anymore but I have fun with it and I think that's all that really matters!

for me i love everything the WWE does, and im enjoying this year maybe more then ever other (apart from 2000) and so its cool to be able to buy the figures pretty much how they appear week in week out

I watch every once in a while but not that much. But earlier I was thinking that I should try to get back into watching WWE. I want to get back into WWE because i used to love watching it when I was younger. But that changed as soon as WWE changed to PG . I refuse to watch TNA and buy the figures because I think they are horrifying.

I only watch YT clips, same as the OP, but love collecting the figs.
Where else can Chris Jericho & Chris Jericho team up against Chris Jericho & Chris Jericho besides that pro-tensile Mattel ring?

I don't watch WWE since 2-3 years ago. I still buy the Mattel figures that appeal to me. I'm not a fan of any of the new young faces of wrestling, so it makes the job even easier, not so many figures to buy (at least Mattel wise).

I'm not talking about when people are torn between a couple of them... but when they come on here and really ask what the SHOULD buy. It's like dude, get what YOU like and who YOU are a fan of, ya know? On topic - personally, I'm loving WWE right now.

I haven't watched WWE since the take over of WCW. I would watch Wrestlemania each year like it was the only thing that mattered. I do collect wrestling figures in general because I have been doing it for 20+ years. My rule of thumb is one of each. I only get one version of any wrestler to add to my collection. Current example I get Mattel elite figures unless they they don't have one prime example Shelton Benjamin and the Hurricane. I also collect who I don't have in the TNA line like Suicide and Jeff Jarrett.

I have been a wrestling fan for the last 23 years, I watch Raw, ROH, Lucha Libre and TNA every week. My daughter and girlfriend watch with me too, we even went to the last Raw house show in Houston. I dont buy everything that comes out, I stay mainly with Elites and Legends.

The fact that the WWE is boring right now to watch has nothing to do with it being PG. Just ask any true "Classic" wrestling fan from the 80's and early 90's. Wrestling was awesome back then and they didn't have all the "trashy" things that the Attitude Era had.
