As an Elite collector, sometimes I feel like I'm missing out on a cool attire because Elites only come out so often. With basics, you've got opportunities in the regular singles line, 2-packs and the quick turnaround PPV sets.
I'd like to see one Elite figure show up in each PPV series. It would come in the same packaging as the other basic figures in the line-up, but without the additional accessories a normal Elite would otherwise have.
This would obviously work for those stars who tend to wear more colorful attires and alternate their gear on a frequent basis like Rey Mysterio or CM Punk.
Besides throwing Elite collectors a bone, doing this might get others hooked on buying future (full-price, accessory loaded) Elites as well. Maybe on the packaging it could say "ELITE COLLECTION PREVIEW."
Would anybody like to see this happen?

I say they should do a case of half Basic half Elite, and every figure can come in both styles and who is what should be randomly inserted Count down to 5,000th post: 17 to go!

It'd never work. Every figure in a case is the same price point. If they were releasing elites at the same price point as basics, it leaves them open to the question of why elites are so expensive. For example, if there's an elite 4 Jericho on the shelf for $16 then an elite SummerSlam Jericho next to it for $10. $6 just for a microphone.

I just look at the basic Divas and Hornswoggle where they left out some points of articulation. They could leave off the ab crunch and/or the double knee joints, and retain the Elite style hips.
