The reaction to my collection post has been stellar, and I thank all of you who've posted comments or PM'd me with questions, feedback and support. My inbox has been FLOODED with PMs from members asking me to please repost pictures, as they've been blocked due to my having exceeded the monthly bandwidth constraints on my Photobucket account. I apologize for the issue. Thank you guys for the support. Here's the re-up:
**WARNING: NOT 56K FRIENDLY!!**
I've made some major upgrades and have been able to invest a little more in my collection/display over the past couple of months. I purchased a huge commercial game display case from my local Movie Gallery just before they shut down. The thing is an enormous 8 feet long, 4 feet deep and over 7 feet tall! The ceiling fan had to be removed to accommodate it, which I replaced with a small faux-track light.
Previously I was working with just 3 $30 Walmart bookshelves and a white PVC shelf pushed back to back to form a square display space. It wasn't lit very well, and it never provided enough space for me to display everything.
Now:
While the new display case still doesn't quite provide enough shelf space for everything I'd like to show, like my complete WWF Undertaker & Stone Cold Steve Austin comic book sets, it is a definite step up from the old wood shelves. I still don't have a place to display my lifesize standees or my collection of various WWF/WWE throws, blankets, banners and posters. For that, I'll have to upgrade the house. I still am not done with the new case. I am designing new WWF/WWE panels for the lights on top to replace the console-themed ones. I am also having more WWF & WWE logo strips made to fit in front of the shelves (as seen under the loose RAs above).
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the pics. Lemme know whatcha' think! Thanks. -DGNR8
