I'm pulling for the Rangers and the Reds myself. Should be an exciting post season.

I am now a Red Sox fan, so I will be pulling for Josh Beckett to show up to Spring Training in some sort of shape.

As long as the Reds don't win, I really don't care. I'll just watch for the love of the game.

The Reds don't scare me. Votto is scary good, but no one else in that lineup really scares you. Arroyo and Cueto are both beatable IMO, especially if they're running up against Halladay/Oswalt/Hamels and the Reds really don't have a 3rd or 4th starter who's capable of winning a big game IMO. The Phill will run Hamels out as their 3rd starter in the NLDS and they have Fat Joe as a 4th starter if they need him. Say what you want about Fat Joe, but as a 4th starter he's not that bad.

Well my reason for not wanting the Reds to win is pretty obvious anyways so I'm hoping that you're right and Philly wins that series in a hurry. I mean, I guess it'd be nice to see the Rays win it all this go around, but like I said, I'm just watching for the games themselves now so...we'll see.

I want Yankees vs Braves so I can see my team play in the World Series.....Neither will make it IMO though.
BTW Ralpho, where is the Beginning of the season prediction thread you made? I cant believe the time has passed that fast. I think I had Yanks-Phils in the WS though with Braves as Wild Card

Anyone 'cept phills or yanks in WS I'll be happy with. Unfortunately, those two will likely be the matchup..

As much as I want Rangers vs. Reds, I'm sticking with my spring training prediction of Yankees over Reds in the series.

I think the Yankees have to be the favorite in the AL. They're the world champs and they've got the playoff experience. None of the AL teams are playing great baseball right now. I think the Yankees playoff experience has to make them the favorite.
On the NL side I'm picking the Phils, but I admit my bias. The Phillies have home field advantage through out the entire playoffs, they've got more playoff experience than the other 3 NL teams, they have a lineup that can post crooked numbers on the board in a hurry and they've got the starting pitching you need to go deep in the playoffs. I'm not sold on the Phils bullpen though.

I cant believe the time has passed that fast. I think I had Yanks-Phils in the WS though with Braves as Wild Card I'll dig it up, I was pretty good. I did say the Braves would make the playoffs, just as the division winner and the Phillies the WC, so flipped that. Said the Sox would finish 3rd, or win it all, but due to the injuries, really wasnt much of a choice. I didnt have Cincy, I dont think. I bet I had Seattle , maybe the Tigers in the Central

Looking at the predictions thread.
D-Klein was the closest team-wise. Only missed one team. He had Mariners instead of the Rays. Order wise (correct East winner, West winner, ect.), he had everyone in the NL right, and 1 in the AL.

It sound like the Giants are going Linececum, Cain and Sanchez in that order for their starting pitchers. Good call, Boach. Zito gets bumped to maybe 4th(if needed) or perhaps he becomes the team's long reliever if one of those three find themselves in some trouble.
Now only if he'd sit Kung Fu Fatty, maybe I wouldn't be so hard on the guy.

I'm not too surprised by Boston's failure, or Seattle.
Walking into Spring Training you could see Pedroia and Beckett weren't in great shape like when they've had their monster seasons and I get that good pitching is a great way to build a team but I was never as sold on their pitching as their fans would lead on.
Seattle is literally Ichiro and Felix.
