About 3 Weeks from now, I'll probably end up saying "Damn this National League home field advantage!"

We should start a thread for each series. That way each fan has their own thread.
Oh wait.....

In the Braves/Giants thread I said TRW and Quinn would be the only ones posting. I meant to say Quanthor, not Quinn. I got you two mixed up. Gotta mind my Qs.

I thought MLB changed the playoff schedule this year to eliminate rest days and 3-man rotations.

I think the home team for the series gets to choose the schedule, but I don't know for sure. The Phils are using a 3 man rotation. They're playing a team that hasn't been able to beat above .500 teams this year though so they may only need 3 starters for the first series.

The Phillies would benefit from a 3-man rotation if Cole Hamels doesnt choke like he did last year. Halladay and Oswalt have to win every game they pitch in for the Phillies to win it all, but that isnt going to happen.

It wasn't like he was lights out during the regular season and then sucked balls during the playoffs. He sucked throughout the regular season and continued sucking during the playoffs. He was horrible. Lately he's been very, very good. The year before last he was lights out in the playoffs. Oswalt has a pretty good playoff record if I remember right. Halladay is unproven in the playoffs though. I think he'll be fine.

Hard to believe another postseason is upon us...the regular MLB season really seems to fly by sometimes.
Pretty smart of the Yankees to go with the 3 man for the ALDS....AJ "Carol" Burnett must be feeling pretty crapty about himself right now, as he should.
While I don't expect the Twins to roll over and die like they did last year...I do expect a great series, but hope for the Yankees to come out on top.
As for the others...I think Tampa takes out Texas, Pillies beat the Reds & Braves beat the Giants

ALDS: Twins over Yankees in 4 Rays over Rangers in 4
NLDS: Phillies over Reds in 3 Giants over Braves in 5
ALCS: Rays over Twins in 5
NLDS: Phillies over Giants in 6
World Series: Phillies over Rays in 7
Not trying to be a downer Yankee fan, but I don't believe they have anything close to what it'll take this year.

Philly over Cincy in 4 Braves over Giants in 5
Texas over Twins in 4 Phillies over Braves in 5
Phillies over Texas in 6

I would love to see a Phillies/Rangers series, but I don't see it happening. I'm picking the Phils over the Yankees in 6.

ps feel free to bash my picks. I don't know a lot about the teams, lineups, etc so my picks might sound dumb.

having the rays/rangers game on at 1:37 in the afternoon on a wednesday is stupid. If I was a fan of either of those teams I would be mad.
