Does anyone know the absolute best place to get a Slimline PS3, cheapest?
Basically, my PS3 has come to its ends, after many phone calls to Sony to try and resolve the problem. I thought my best bet would be to get a Pre Owned Console and Game at Game for £229.99, sell the Game back on ebay and sell my old faulty Console on ebay for about £70.
Anyway, I bought an extended years warranty on top of this, only to go home and as soon as I turned the Console on, it had the corrupted hard drive. I am fuming right now, knowing that I could of spent about £15 more in HMV and got a 320GB brand new Console with a Game and Playstation Move. I am seriously worried that I wont be able to get a full refund as it's already pre owned, despite it not working.
He said they check them all before they are sold to see if they are in working condition. Bollox.

If it dosn't work they have no choice to give you a refund, They sell them as fully working products so have no choice by law to do so.

But they said they tested them before they sell them, and since it's pre-owned, they could then say it was fine when it left the Shop and it's me that's done it. Or, they wont give me a FULL refund since it's pre-owned. Swear there is someone on here that works for Game? |

You should get a full refund for a faulty item, but they might just give you a replacement. They definitely can't/won't just give a partial refund.

That could be said about any item, They sold to you what you was led to beleive was a fully working item. They can't accause you of doing it, pre-owned or not if you take it back because its faulty,and aask for a refund, They have to do so. |

You just take it in and they swap it over, just a straight swap, I worked in Game for 2 years and thats what we did

tell them ur not happy & would rather not have a pre owned one & ask for the refund, if they cant offer it as them to replace it with a new one

If they want to replace it, say you are not happy with the condition of the pre-owned PS3s as your replacement may have similar issues and say you want a refund.
If still no luck, ask to speak to the manager and say the same thing to him, mention you are a long time customer blah blah blah and you should be fine mate.

Went back with it, the man did the System Restore and said it worked fine and I was just like 'yes but the fact is it has a corrupt hard drive so I want a refund, even if it does work after you do the System Restore'. Eventually he got the Manager out and she was fine about a refund. He put it back on the shelf aswell which I couldn't believe.
Went into HMV and got the new 320GB PS3 with Playstation Move and FIFA 11. I'm looking to sell the FIFA copy and Playstation Move Pack so if anyone on here is interested then let me know.

He put it back on the shelf aswell which I couldn't believe. Why not? Do you think they'd "scrap it" over a corrupt hard drive, something that can be easily fixed by reformatting? |
