I do apologize if someone's already thought of this, or if you're simply tired of hearing about it already (like me), but it seems logical and as tired of it as I am, I figured I'd throw it out there for discussion...
So you have Zack Ryder over on WWE, who people seem to be big on for some reason. Not a big fan personally BUT, lately I've found him somewhat amusing. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt...
But then on TNA you have "The Shore" and the thought that just crossed my mind is that, perhaps they're not only to bank on a highly popular show (why it's so popular I'll never understand), but it seems to be a well known idea that TNA watches the internet fans closely...and it's also known that they're obsessed with one-upping WWE...after BFG, I'm thinking Robbie E. is TNA's "answer" to WWE under-using Zack Ryder...I mean, they're just throwing him right in the X Division picture title hunt...
I don't know, it just seems like it's their way of trying to cater to fans by offering up the same kind of ridiculous character, but actually giving him a shot...thoughts?

The problem is, if they do that, it'll never capture fans like Zack does. Copycats usually don't get over at all because its obvious. The only time it does is when its an obvious joke, like Gillberg.

I seriously doubt TNA came up with a "Jersey Shore" gimmick, paid a star from "Jersey Shore", and sky rocketed him into the X-Division Title picture because of Zack Ryder...

I'm just saying I think it's logical to assume that if everyone's right and TNA is so on about the internet fans, specifically, or the "voice of the wrestling community" if you will, it makes sense for them to see ALL these people who talk about Zack Ryder (constantly, even we're doing it right now) and think "Hey, Jersey Shore has exploded, WWE's knockoff of one of the characters is wildly popular, I bet it could work for us!" ...then they went out and found the most annoying couple they could find in Wrestling circles, slapped a decent tan on them, blew his hair back and was like "Alright, kick Jay Lethal's @$$, people will love you"...that's all I'm saying

TNA hade made it quite clear that they don't listen to JUST the internet fans, I doubt it has anything to do with Zack Ryder's "overness" on the internet.

I personally like Zack Ryder, and when I saw Robbie E., that is who he reminded me of. But Robbie E. Just didnt come off the same. He seems like he is trying to hard. Instead of capturing a charcters gimmick and making it his own, he came off like a cheap Knock off.
But i wouldnt judge him yet. I personally have not yet seen him wrestle.
If he is a good wrestler I'd give him the benefit of the doubt, because you can always work on and improve mic skills. You can always tell someone in the back "Hey stop saying this or that, its not getting over with the fans"
But as of now just hearing him talk, and listening to that Cookie chic....They are annoying as Hell.
so i dont know. To any of you who have seen him wrestle, is he any good?
Because if he's no good at that either, they probably need to pull the plug on this ASAP

BEcasue they've never stole any ideas from WWE Jesus. Zack Ryder debuted before Jersey Shore was on television. Zack Ryder was a parody of "My New Haircut", an internet short. Therefore he couldn't be related to Jersey Shore beside the odd similarity. The Shore is a direct parody of Jersey Shore. Keyword: Parody Therefore they can be as over-the-top they want to. Why don't people get this? Yes, few things in wrestling are original. Why even comment about it anymore?

Ryder is Ryder, The Shore is a Jersey Shore spoof. I don't see the connection really. Either way Ryder > The Shore, his twitter account alone is more entertaining than The Shore.
