I may end up wording this strange, but is it me or does it feel like Del Rio almost exists in his own corner of WWE? Like, he's only interacted with a handful of guys so far with 85% or so of his attention focused on Rey Mysterio, and he's happened to taken out Christian and defeated Matt Hardy and Chris Masters in singles matches. I like how he's not having meaningless segments with Teddy Long or having forgettable 6 man tag matches. Obviously being new is a big part of this but still I feel like it's a cool touch that makes Del Rio's character seem to act like he's bigger than WWE as a whole.

I get what you're saying. He's not just Jack Swagger or Kofi Kingston, he's like a Mid-card Undertaker.
I'd agree, but I think it's because WWE really likes Del Rio, so they don't want him to fall into the generic SmackDown Mid-Card heel #2 character, and now that you say it, makes me applaud WWE for not just sending out another "Unstoppable Superstar", only to fall at the PPV or the first Televison, afterwards.

It fits his character really well. He's supposed to be playing his uncle, Mil Mascaras. Mascaras has a horrible reputation for being arrogant and for belittling people (see Foley or Jericho's books). I love his slight mispronounces he's doing lately. It makes the promos sound less scripted and more natural. I love everything about him and I hope they don't mess up his push.

I thought his push was already messed up because he lost clean to Mysterio.

Well, he has become a big deal, fairly quick.
I think he is just in a transition phase before his rivalry with Rey gets really underway. Once that happens, I think that he'll be put more in the middle of the main event scene.

He has only had a few matches with a select amount of people such as: Rey, Matt, Masters, and Christian.
I don't really know why but hopefully later he starts to wrestle other faces such as Kofi and Undertaker because I really like him and he needs to vary his opponents!

This is why Drew Mcintyre kinda slipped away, a few months ago I could see him being a future whc, now not so much, sure he could still be but they aint as high on him as they were a few months ago. The WWE should be trying to push all of its talent and not just squashing it as soon as someone new is in.

I think that is what Jimmy was getting across. Because Del Rio has only fought a few guys, instead of fighting new people every week and going into random tag matches, he is getting a better start than most new guys. When McIntyre re-debuted last year, he was thrown around a lot, but Del Rio hasn't, which is quite a good thing as they know what to do with him, instead of just making him face new guys each week.

Alberto Del Rio sucks. This Dos Caras person that should be coming in soon sounds a lot better.

He is quite an awesome character. Just to respond to the mentions of Drew McIntyre, I have to argue that the reason Del Rio's push seems to be working out better than McIntyre's did... is that Del Rio > McIntyre in just about every department.

You know why Del Rio's push is going better? He gets thrust into a feud with Mysterio, takes him out, gives him heat. McIntyre was thrust into a feud with Teddy Long and Long always got the upper hand.

Eh, before all that, McIntyre got pushed to the IC title, and barely lost a match, going over Kane, Matt Hardy and others more or less constantly. Even when he did lose, he got his losses expunged. So, I don't really get your point there.

He's the best damn thing about Smackdown if you ask me, I always find myself looking forward to his segments. Anywho, with him and Rey on the same team...and Raw's team most likely being the weaker of the 2 , does anybody else think he's gonna cost Team Smackdown the match at Bragging Rights?
