I thought it was pretty interesting. I'm glad to see Joey Styles is happy with what he's doing, but c'mon never again? Damn. I guess we'll leave the memories alone.
It's interesting to hear also that Joey Styles' tirad on Vince McMahon, King, and the WWE in MSG back in the day was a shoot, because a lot of people weren't sure.
The TNA mention is interesting as well.

What was the joey styles tirade? Joey Styles was sick of being embarrassed and stuck in an organization that was a shell of his former self and he did a shoot promo on the status of the company and how he'd been reduced to a color commentator.

Seems like a cool guy, and for some reason I have never seen that promo before, cool of Vince to allow such a thing. Seems like a alright guy.

Styles tirade had a point in it that defines sheep. The crowd is solidly behind Styles point after point after point. UNTIL......he says he is ashmed of those who buy in to SE crap. And then the crowd turns on him and boos. So all is good till you are insulted? He was right....till he insulted you?

honestly Joey wasn't that great as a WWE announcer due to having to conform to WWE-style. I mostly remember the Styles/Lawler/Coach team being a trainwreck.
That 'shoot' was fantastic though. For some reason "HE MOCKED GOD! MOCKED GOD!" is always floating around in my head.

The interview was cool, but a little lackluster. I kept thinking of Peter Parker while looking at him though.

joey never should have went to the wwe. they used him for name value, and when it lowered, finished him.

I remember a couple years ago when I saw Joey Styles outside of the arena after Raw...my friend yelled out, "Miss seeing you on TV!" Styles replied, "I don't!"

I thought Larry David was interviewing Joey Styles. I was confused on why those two would ever be together to talk about wrestling

It's sad to know that the person I deem to be the greatest commentator ever won't ever call again.
