I have an IBM T40 laptop, that I recently had rehauled (new motherboard, new power jack) a couple weeks ago. Just today, I go to use my CD-ROM drive. I put a disc in, and it makes faint funny noises and I get an error message (Insert disk into drive D). Usually, if it works, it sounds like a plane taking off. Instead, I have a non-funtioning drive. I tried a CD-ROM, music CD, and a DVD. Nothing works. Is there a simple fix, or do i need to take it in again? Thanks in advance for any help.

Sorry... Didn't see this sooner. For the record, I took it in to a local, reputable repair shop. He replaced the disc drive right in front of me, and didn't even charge me for it (he was a nice guy). Everything's fine now.
