Alex Riley and the Miz too, for now. Riley is an enforcer-type, not a manager. Also, Vicky f'n Guerrero. Come on, guys, she's not a valet, she's a rare female manager for Dolph Ziggler. She's trying to get him over, and she has with her promos and mouthpiece ability. The current storyline with Kaitlynn is nice, and Dolph is so close to breaking out. His series of matches with Daniel Bryan elevated him, big time. But so did Vickie, who has always been one of WWE's better characters. I always liked Shane McMahon managing Big Show in 1999, I think it was. It was for story purposes only, but Shane was classic heel tactics managing the guy. The running, jumping chair shot he used a couple times = lol.

I'd like to see a veteran come in and manage groups of up and coming superstars. Jericho's done everything in wrestling, it'd be cool if he came back as more if a manager with him leading younger guys and gets involved in matches. Or bring back Bret for this hart dynasty storyline. Help them patch things up and get back to winning n help them win matches n stuff n then the hart dynasty turn on Bret.
I don't mind them having a hot chick as a manager for someone, but they need to get involved in a match--distracting people, firing up the crowd, grabbing ankles, slapping opponents in the face, and all.

I was all for the Swagger idea. Back in 2008/2009 I wanted JBL to become his manager

I'm a big fan of managers if they are used correctly. Regal would be a good one thats for sure..
Edit: Surprised that I forgot about Jericho, he'd be great especially building up matches to make them more epic.

Swagger has an eagle as a manager. That counts for something, right?

Swagger has an eagle as a manager. That counts for something, right? Yes. It's more a mascot than anything, which is even cooler. How many wrestlers have mascots? Finlay was the first, if I had to guess, but besides him and Swagger?
