Orton is boring plain and simple, everything he's been apart of since he won the title against H's in 2007 to embark on the "Age of Orton" has sucked. I can't even think of any standout matches during that whole time, 3 years and not memorbable match to show for it. They are overbooked, last too long, not enough highs and lows..it's just straight forward and uneventful. The crowd only seems to pop when he hits an RKO...that's it, there's not enough in his matches to excite the crowd.
That's not the WWE wasting Orton, he's been given the world, this is Orton wasting my time and providing too many lackluster main events.

Make angry faces that the camera zooms in on..that's for the TV audience, not the live crowd. Seriously, I don't see a lot of reaction from the crowd during his matches and lot of this is because they haven't been any good. If someone wants to provide me a list of all his classics in the past few years I'd love to see it because I seriously can't think of a single one...that's how forgettable they've been.

I'm not arguing the classic matches point. But if we're playing that game, name some 'classic' Cena or Big Show or Batista or Kane matches since October 2007. See? You can make that point about any guy. Orton's not exactly stinking up joint or anything, but yeah, he won't ever be Shawn Michaels.
Your point about him not getting reactions is ridiculous though. I mean, I don't even know how to respond to people who convince themselves certain things are fact just because they want them to be.

Yeah, I usually don't mind Orton and I thought him winning the title wouldn't be bad but they've made this title reign so god damn boring.

hes avery dry and theres no energy out of him except when he does his stupid viper coil routine. I think after survivor series he needs to poke at cena and say he was abetter when they didnt cheer for him and ultimately end up causing him to turn and then randy turning to and them becomming a big time tag team for a bit then split and feud.

I mean, I don't even know how to respond to people who convince themselves certain things are fact just because they want them to be. That last line is played out, dude. I can easily flip that on you and that's not an insult that's the truth. I have nothing personal against anybody in the WWE to the point where I blst them for no reason. I've hated Jeff Hardy forever but I always gave him props when put on a good show. With Orton I just haven't seen it, if what I'm saying is ridiculous and untrue than prove it. 90% of what he does is made for TV, the only time he plays to an audience is when he violently shakes preparing for the RKO. The fans love that, that's gets a huge pop, but there isn't enough highs and lows within his matches that creates a fervor with the crowd. There's no standout moments, they're uneventful until the end. I'm not seeing this because I want to, I'm seeing because that's what I'm seeing. Those other guys you mentioned are power wrestlers, they don't have the athletic capabilities that Orton possesses. There's no reason why Orton shouldn't routinely put on four star matches or at the very least make them exciting. For the sake of the argument though.... Cena vs Batista at WM was a very good bout, a great power match. - Cena vs Edge in a last man standing match in 2009 was teriffic.(they have great chemistry btw) - His match against Barrett told a great story. - He had a match on RAW last year against HHH that was excellent. Those actualy stick out to me. Cena love him or hate him, he does entertain and gets a reaction out of the crowd. Kane is ok for a big man, but yeah, he's dull as ****. Big Show has been blah too but those guys aren't main eventing like Orton is.

I hate to go all "me" but oh well. I think WWE has something bigger planed for him after Survivor Series. Maybe as someone posted on here this week maybe he'll be the leader of Nexus and be the one to get Cena out of WWE(and then face him at Mania) and be the true #1 guy in WWE he should be.
And its not Orton's fault that theyre are no good heels on Raw for him to face.If Raw would get a total house cleaning(or do an early draft) and get rid of the crappy Nexus stuff he'd be in a better spot and not behind this Cena-Nexus crap. They can do Randy v Ziggler,or McIntire or someone like that to build up instead of using the mostly green Nexus guys. But NOT Cody.Him and Ted I dont think will ever get over. If they couldnt get over being w/ the #1 heel at the time last year they never will.

What they need to do is during this 3 hour "Old School" Raw is bring back the Legend Killer and have him take out all the Legends and tell Cena and Barrett that's what he's gonna do to both of them at the PPV!

theyve dropped the ball with him before too. when he was going psycho and punting everyone in the head, last year maybe? when he punted mcmahon in the head and eveyone was pretty much in shock and it was a great moment but then all of a sudden its because he has some disease. it would have been a lot better if it was because he was just a crazy mother er and theres no one out there that can stop him, not even the boss. but instead hes diagnosed with some medical disease which killed everything he was doing.

Orton is so bland and generic as champion, as he has been for the past handful of years since he started shaving his head. Really, another bald dude with black trunks and a cutter finisher? We've seen it before, but what got guys like Austin over with the crowd, is doing nothing for Orton. They never give Randy any promo time, and when they do, it's him being insincere and robotic. Not exactly the best way to sell your company's top face badass.

He's so much better chasing the Title that's what the problem is. Everytime he gets the Title he just becomes dull and boring. When he's without the Belt, I'm left wanting and wanting and wanting him to win it, and I miss him without the Belt. But as soon as he gets it, there is nothing for him to do.
He would be a lot better off having the World Heavyweight Championship on Smackdown IMO. A fued with Alberto Del Rio, Drew McIntyre and even a fued with Rey Mysterio could work well.
