Though it really wasn't the dead on throwback from 1993, love the modified Attitude Era Raw Is War set (pre-2000) with the RAW letters in the entrance and the WWF logo where the scratch logo is supposed to be.
Damn that gave me nostalgia.

From the Raw letters to Mean Gene's side stage to the ring ropes and Lord Alfred Hayes......all of that stuff was truly awesome. Loved the WWF jackets, old Raw theme, steel barriers and the Mean Gene plugs.
Could have done without JR. crap, dude is out for one match and he cant even get the competitors' names right, especially after being corrected 3 times and probably countless times in his head set.
Bitter old man. GO AWAY!

It actually looked like stepping into a time machine, just like the 80's/90's. So cool!

that show was so great. i think they should use most aspects every week.
- the set was great. simple but effective. plus im sure its cheaper and easier to bring from place to place. - the side stage for interviews was cool. they should go back to that style of interviewing guys on the stage in front of the crowd rather than backstage. - the whole color scheme for the ring area is awesome. the different colors are really vibrant on the tv screen and it makes everything look even bigger. plus i feel like it fits well with the whole PG thing. for some reason it makes me feel like the show is more family friendly. - i so wish they would keep doing those mini promos like they did with ziggler and kofi. i think it was last year that it looked like they were gonna do that then they just stopped. - the theme song and intro should be kept also. i dont mind the current raw theme but it gets kinda boring and forgettable. the old school theme is exciting and brings me back to the days when i was excited that raw was coming on.
btw this was like the first time in years that i just sat back relaxed and enjoyed the show. normally everything looks kinda dull so im going about my business with raw on in the background. tonight the look and feel of the show caught my eye and held my attention for the full 3 hours. plus i annoyed my cousin who stopped watching with my constant texts of things like "SEXUAL CHOCOLATE!!!!!!" or "OH MY GAWD! ITS JR!" the only thing the show was missing was a few huge names that really represent the history of raw. yeah im talking about stone cold, the rock, hbk, hhh, undertaker, kane, bret hart, and vince mcmahon. i understand y they couldnt get most of those guys but i still held out hope for at least a pre-taped message.

GO AWAY! i would rather deal with his bitter old ass over cole laughing hysterically at himself most of the night... botching numerous things left and right.. i usually dont think he does TOO bad.. but on tonights raw he was horrible....

The overall presentation of the show was solid. I loved the little things like Cole and King standing ringside, Okerlund conducting an interview up top, the stripped down announce table, etc. They did a really good job with the aesthetics.

The crowd was absolute garbage though.
It wasnt a night driven by storyline, it was a night to have fun and it didnt seem like they could comprehend that. It was as basic as wrestling could get: Boo this guy, cheer this guy; and they were dead.

I know he got corrected but I didn't catch what he was calling him. And I missed the first hour, I forgot it was three hours and I was playing Modern Warfare 2

It was as basic as wrestling could get: Boo this guy, cheer this guy; and they were dead. I think it was a clash of fandom if you know what I'm saying. The average WWE crowd nowadays is mostly children. Just as you said, I don't think that most of them could even comprehend the nostalgic beauty that was placed before them. For instance, if we took the crowd from the 1/4/10 Raw and put them in the place of tonight's crowd, they would've went apesh** for George Steele's random appearence, and be singing the words to Slick's rap. Unno? Tonight's Raw just wasn't something that the average 5-14 year old kid could appreciate. We remember all the little details that WWF used to have that they made it a point to bring out tonight. They don't. I guess that's why I didn't care that the crowd was dead for most of the night, because I could understand why. Next time, they should try to do a retro show in a city with more wrestling history. The really need to shoot for the Chicago's, New York's, Philly's, and Greensboro's of the wrestling world.

Yeah your right. But thats also the tricky thing. I cant figure out if the crowd was too young to enjoy the nostalgia, or if it was just a bad crowd altogether. I mean, Hershey, PA isnt the in the handful of citys that come to mind when you think of the typical wrestling cities, but they sure did make it seem like it tonight. It might have just been as you said, bad location.

In all honesty, I believe it was a combination of both. I'd say about 40% bad crowd, and 60% kid who didn't care about anything that wasn't Cena, Orton, or Santino.
