you have kangaroos. you have no right to complain. its a fair trade. That shall be quoted good sir. But yes I hate it here around Christmas. Yeah I was in England that day when it was 49 Degrees. I really want to move to another country for no real reason just in Summer as I'm literally sweating everywhere.

I couldn't imagine being some place warm for the holidays. It's snowed a few times here on Christmas day, which was really really nice.

I've met plenty of Australians in NYC where I reside and I hate to break it to you but yeah, you do talk like that..... to our ears at least. Actually we talk as a mix of Americans and Brits. Pretty much Brits, but not as strong as them. I disagree. I know plenty of Australians and you don't talk "pretty much" like anybody. You talk like Aussies...

Just one I can name off the top of my head but there are a lot more American shows that make us sound like that.

All the southerners I know don't sound that southern to me but if they were speaking to you, it would be a different story. You can't tell me how Australians sound because you are one, and vice versa.

You go somewhere else and people will comment on how you talk differently/funny. I can only think of 1 maybe 2 times since I was born that snow was not on the ground. All the other Christmas' we had tons of snow on the ground. It'd be odd to have Christmas and it be 80 degrees out.

I couldn't imagine Christmas in heat without snow, or that half the year as a whole, that would be horrible.

Id love to experience a winter christmas with snow but i do like our christmas too. Great time when you get to spend days by the pool or at the beach. Plus, no need to shovel snow or anything like that and sometimes its the right temp. Its never ridiculously hot on christmas day or at least i havent experienced that here. As for the accent thing, Slappy was right on it, we aussies dont recognise how we sound, you only notice whats out of place. Although i have noticed some people have much stronger aussies accents and when i went to the states i could hear how i was speaking was a bit different to the US'ers. Cool experience going to the states hearing so many people around you sound so different.

I hate Crimbo, I absolutely can't stand hearing about it all the way in June or sometimes before. It should be against the law to advertise Christmas before December 1st.
