Just curious, but has anyone seen the head-sculpt for the defining moments macho man without his hat and sunglasses?? I'm really excited about this figure, and have it on pre-order, but realized that I havent even really seen his face yet. any help would be appreciated

Sorry to bump an old thread but I'm wondering if the DM Macho Man actually twists left to right at the waist. I have one and it LOOKS like it should (because the upper body is a little misaligned with the lower body to begin with) but I can't move it. I don't want to force it if it's actually not supposed to move. If it is, any tips on how to loosen it? Thanks.

To fix this boil a cup of water for 3 minutes, let the figure rest in there for a minute, pull the figure out slowly with a hand towel so you don't get burned by the hot as hell water then attempt to move the joint.

My elite 1 Edge had the same problem. No amount of hot water fixed it, ended up returning it. Same thing with one leg on my elite Finlay (both legs were stuck, but hot water did fix one).

The head is the same that is on all Macho Man figures from Mattel. There was a different head featured on the DM figure at SDCC 2010 that had an open mouth (teeth showing) but Mattel said the eyes in the head were a little off so they went with a different scan which what you see on all Mattel Macho Man figures.
As far as loosening, or taking apart joints... try putting them in front of space heater. I will usually toss my figures in front of my edenpure heater for a few minutes and then they are plyable. A hairdryer will work too but it takes forever.

I finally got Macho's waist unstuck. The hot water didn't do it but a blow dryer plus a little crafting spatula did. (A heat gun would have been even faster.) I heated Macho's waist up for about 5 minutes until it was pliable enough that my wife could jam the spatula in while I pulled him apart. Then I just worked the spatula all around until I hit the part that was gummed up. There was an audible click as I cut through it and released the sticking point. For reference:

I'm glad you figured it out. On a side not, the picture makes me cringe a little bit. *Just makes me think about getting sliced in half.
