Recently, I decided to buy the first season of a television show I never viewed before. If I liked the show, I'd buy the next season and progress from there; if I didn't like the first season, I'd try and return the DVD and move onto something else. Simple as that.
The television show I chose was Scrubs. I had seen parts of it on television and from the tiny snippets I saw, I found it funny and wanted to further explore.
Boy am I glad that I did.
I've watched all nine seasons (including the Scrubs: Interns webisodes) and I love this show. Absolutely love it. The characters are great, from The Janitor to Ted to Dr. Cox to J.D.
To keep the discussion going, how do you feel about the show? Did you feel the ninth season did not stand up to par with the first eight seasons or did you enjoy the new characters mixed with the old ones?

The first 4 seaons are amazing, then the 5th IMO kinda dipped, tho funny, it just wasn't as funny. Can't remember much about 6 and 7, but I thought 8 was quite good, and so far, the 9th is OK, although I am only on Episode 6 or so

I love scrubs. Quite gutted they aren't keeping it going. Have only seen a few episodes of season 9 so far but I really like it, shame they aren't keeping it going.

I liked Scrubs.
for me Dr Cox,Turk,Janitor and Kelso were the stars.
over time JD became so unlikable and Carla is one of my most hated characters on TV.she was fine at first but grew into a total annoyance,Elliot was ok but again after the 2nd season I grew to dislike her.
I havent seen Interns yet but I look forward to it because it has Cox-the true star of the show.

My favorite 'sitcom' of all time. As far as comedies are concerned- this one had everything.
The themed episodes and JD's trippy fantasies always had me busting a rib. Particularly the 'Star Wars' illusion, Giant Doctor, Floating head JD...also, the dramatic episodes really hit hard and were on the same level as most great dramas on TV. The music selection was always top notch(I credit Braff for that) and Cox & JD are two of my favorite TV characters of all time.
I felt season 7 was a bit below par, then with season 8 and their move to ABC, the cast returned to form...Season 9 I can't even really count fully as 'Scrubs' because I saw it more as a spin-off.
Still love it, in every incarnation.
EAAAAAAGLE!

Love me some Scrubs.
Season 1 was brilliantly written, Season 2 was good but more of a continuation of 1. Season 3 is my second favourite season, and Season 4 was similar to 2 in that it felt more of a continuation than a completely different season.
Season 5, 6 and 7 were decent, and Season 8 was awesome. Season 9 is okay, but not up to par with regular Scrubs.

I loved Scrubs, loved it to death. The season finale of Season 8 stands out in my mind as one of the best TV finales ever. You really couldn't ask for a better way to end such a fantastic show. Judged purely as a spin-off, WHICH IT ING WAS, NO MATTER WHAT ABC SAID (rant over), Season 9 was pretty fun and enjoyable. I admit, I was disappointed when it wasn't renewed.

Scrubs is still in my top five comedy shows, with Friends, How I Met Your Mother, Two And A Half Men and South Park.

Season 1 of scrubs is unbeatable. It had everything. That said, it's my favorite show of all time and I love all of the seasons, minus interns.

I think season 9 would've done better had it happened sooner...that is to say, Bill Lawrence always wanted Scrubs to be like a comedic ER (which ran 15 seasons)...so in order for cast changes to be successful, they would've had to happen a lot earlier than season 9.

I thought the show absolute gold until the end of Season 5, everything after that except for the musical episode and Season 8 is completely forgettable in my mind.

I finished the first eight seasons through Netflix and enjoyed them all. I found Scrubs to be an amazing, funny, and emotional show and will go down as one of my all-time favorites.

OMG! i love scrubs! If i had to choose the top 10 shows from when i first saw a TV, all the way to now, Scrubs would be in the top 5. as far as seasons go, i can't really tell which ones are which except the first 2, and the last 2. I really don't like season 9, cause it just seemed like s bad spin off. Season 8 ended Scrubs perfectly. the last episode of season 8, where he walked down the hall and saw everyone from the show, even people who died, then the movie showing his future, with him marring Elliot and having kids, and then Izzy and Sam got married...that was a great end. I only have seasons 2 and 9 on DVD right now, but i want to just have and watch them all.

Greatest. Show. EVER. Own all 8 seasons (I refuse to acknowledge 9 as part of the show.) My Musical and My Lunch are my favorite episodes. The series finale was amazing as well.

The 9th season relied too heavily on the old cast. It really started to come into it's own a little over halfway through and I really enjoyed it. I think they should have avoided making Lucy a carbon copy of JD though. The focal character should have been an entirely different type of person. I think Drew would have been a great lead in the new series.

I saw four episodes when the show first came to TV Land. Based on that, on my next birthday, I bought the first six seasons on DVD...and like the OP, I'm glad I did. I got the 7th and 8th as soon as they were available. I didn't like, and don't really acknowledge season 9, but I thought season 8 was the perfect finale. One of my favorites, for sure.
