Not bad for first "full" attemp. But it's really messy and the paint is lumpy. Good try though

ok, I make a first attempt, simply to show current progress and ask for help. apparently it shows how the "adults" on here clearly aren't that so for those that actually helped, thank you I appreciate it and to those that thought it was fun bashing this, well hope you had your fun because right about now, I want each and everyone of the people that bashed me, to display THEIR greatest custom and I will show what true criticism is all about!

Easy. It's tough to get responses on here. Don't take it personal. Your last post will just cause a flame war. You don't want to mess with that.
The first tip I can give is to get decent supplies. A few nice brushes, some painters tape, sealer, and some acrylic paint. Some people will tell ou specific brands, but I've seen the 59 cent craft paint work just as good as testors.
If you go the apple barrell or a similar brand, you'll find that each pigment is a different consistency. True red might end up watery where the black might be as thick as mud. So you can get them flowing the same by thining them. Some guys use water, some use isopropyl alcohol. Either is fine. I use the alcohol because it seems to speed up the drying time. It might just be a placebo effect, but it's how I've always done it.
The reason for thinning the paint is so you don't end up with chunky spots. It is better to go with 3 thin layers vs 1 thick layer.
Take a few minutes and research skintone composition. The worst thing you can do to darken any color, especially skins, is to add black. Except r-truth. Haha. Get it? Because he's really dark? Am I right? Huh? Huh? Who's with me on that?
Anyway, skintones are tricky. I would just start researching them and mixing until you get a good one. That is crappy advice, but it is what works. Test it on aspare figure.
Next, use the tape to tape off your line. The crisper and straighter they are, the better your custom looks.
Lastly, practice. Keep working and you'll improve. Also, go through the threads and look at other peoples work. Try to pick up what they have done righ, or wrong. Don't top old threads, just keep it to yourself.
