Everyone has their own way of texting. Do you abbreviate words? Do you capitalize letters? Do you beat around the bush? Do you text just like you type here on WF? Do you have any signature words?
In this day and age texting is becoming more popular than the everyday phone call and I try to text as little as possible to balance this out. Lots of times, texting is necessary though, but I feel like it's making relationships less personal. E-Mail did this to a certain extent but texting has given a way to communicate, without talking, at any point, anywhere, on any day.
I try to spell everything right when I text. I'm kinda OCD about it just like on here. And if I misspell a word, I always send another text with the correction for some reason.

i text just like the way i post here. i don't capitalize much, but i'm not fond of using abbreviations minus maybe "lol"
it amazes me how much it text. i've got this strange relationship with my girlfriend where we're in a very not-forced constant communication unless we're with each other, in a fight, sleeping, working or completely wiped out of things to say. god bless unlimited texting.

I dont like abbreviating words. I don't like it when people send me texts wth abbreviated words because I'm slow and I have to spend 2 minutes deciphering what someone just sent me. I usually don't text that much because it requires too much effort and I would rather alienate my friends and be a weird person.

I don't really text at all but if I do I try to actually spell stuff out.
I don't like to have tons of errors but sometimes you have to go fast so whatever...

My Txt: Nah i cant go out 2night i have tonz of work 2finish.IRS if i cant finish in time.
I don't capitalize as much either,its just because it would take up more time to send it and I don't really feel like doing that.
I also use Acronyms like IRS (I'm really screw).

I only started texting this year, and not very much, but I do it as I would any written-word, capitalization, full words and punctuation. I've never been one to type "like dis,you know?  ", and it bothers me when other people do (Bother being a relative term), and I even dislike using "LOL", "LMFAO", "ROFL" and other types of expression like that, but I know there's a disconnect with me and technology, or at least Phones, when my Dad who does Radio and Sports Broadcasting for a living texts before me and like a Teenager. |

I even dislike using "LOL", "LMFAO", "ROFL" and other types of expression like that,. I've found that if I actually do laugh at something in a text I can't use any of these. They've lost what they once had and they're just thrown around now with a straight face. Why type LOL if you didn't laugh?!?!? Nowadays I write out, "I actually laughed at that." |

I text exactly how the same as i type on here. I hate typical text typing:

I've got a QWERTY keypad so I end up typing the whole word out, grammar and all.

I write out the whole word, capitalize everything, use punctuation, etc; and my friends hate it. I mostly do it because I have the iPhone, and it does the auto-correct. I know how to turn it off but I never end up doing it.

Swype. I put lol in my texts to show that im joking and not being serious. If i really laugh ill do a bunch of "hahahahahahahahahahas."

I text mostly how I type here, except I throw in the occasional letter (u for you) and number (2 for two), etc.

If Im talking to my guy friends, Ill short it out. i kno did u see dat lmao.
But I dont know if I do it purposely, but when Im talking to a girl or somebody more mature, I always use perfect grammar. It's pretty odd.
