Just wondering, but why has Kofi Kingston somehow managed to make the Basic lines at least 4 times with Series 1, 7, 8 and now 10, when some guys (ex. Edge, HBK, Jericho) have only had 1 figure so far released in the Basic Series line (not including ppv lines, Signature Series or such).
Seems a little too much to have Kofi out there 4 times when some guys haven't even had one figure out yet.

I don't mind it that much. All of the attires are different. I'm guessing Basic 10 will be his dark green attire.

Well Jericho was in many PPV waves and is no longer with the company, HBK is in the DM wave and as he was on his way out when Mattel took over it isn't a surprise he hasn't had more figures. Either someone at Mattel likes Kofi or research said kids love him so they are issuing as many different Kofis as they can.
Mattel will go with the wrestlers that get TV time and test well with their prime audience: kids. The figure that doesn't make sense right now is Triple H. He has been of TV for a very long time and unless he returns as a face I doubt his figure will fly off the pegs.

They must be a decent seller as I never see any sitting around... And, as others have stated, Edge, Jericho, and HBK have been scattered throughout many other lines as well.

Actually Edge really hasn't had that many figures released compared to other guys. I don't know, I guess it's just I hate Kofi Kingston so to see another figure of his come out just annoys me.

Edge has actually had I think 7 figures released(Basic, 2P, Sig Series, PPV, Belt Pack, WM, Elite)... They've just been very evenly spread out compared to Kofi's releases.

Why wouldn't you count PPV & Sig Series? They are also considered Basic lines.

PPV lines are basic form, yes, but they are not Basic Lines in the normal series 1 - 10 sort of thing.
It just bugged me that in the normal Basic line that Kofi is gonna have 4 figures out when other guys have had one or none yet.

That's stupid. PPV series are still basic figures. It's the same thing except for the carding.
I'm disappointed Mattel didn't make an attire of Kofi in white he wore at Wrestlemania 26 in their TRU Mania series.

Because kofi is a superstar with descent popularity and his attire changes quite rapidly. His figures require barely any new molds (apart from headscans) so he can just be repainted into an updated attire. He's like Rey really and if you count all figs up, im sure rey is up there.

I have to say this guy has been slipped into the lines frequently. The weird thing about this is that it has spurred a mini collection that I never wanted. Lol. I have no real problem with Kofi, but I'm not really a fan, yet somehow I have every damn release so far. I only bought Kofis debut Jakks figure and was fine with that. But thanks to one impulse buy (Survivor Series ppv2) I accidentally put a new collection into motion. I ended up with B7 and the awesome B8 versions for the holidays,so I just decided to make it a clean sweep and get E4 when I saw it again. And now ,because of this unintentional collection ,I will HAVE to buy B10 when it hits. With that said I am hoping for his blue attire. Maybe we will get lucky and see his white Mania attire slipped in on an upcoming Elite figure too. He really is an easy option for Mattel ala Rey.

The same reason Mysterio gets a lot. Because Like mysterio, Kofi has a new outfit almost every week and his outfit is something that can easily be changed without Mattel having to spend much money. Same mold, different paint. He is also a good seller.

I think all Kofi's figs look great, just something about them and I've only seen his elite like once so they must be popular.
Oh yeah and that white attire would have been amazing, would probably been better as an elite so we could get the tracksuit as well.

Because he's brilliant. Great figures, always opportunity for new paintjobs, and a very popular superstar.

I like my Kofi figures, I think they're pretty cool. He's had a number of headscans too.

So you don't count PPV series to help prove your point?

I don't mind all of the Kofi figs. I'm wanting them to make one in his blue attire for his basic 10 fig..
