Hey,
I was wondering what the deal was between John Cena and Michael Cole. There's got to be a deal or connection between the two.
I mean, when Cena got "fired" not too long ago and he went around the arena hugging the fans and giving high fives and then in an odd moment, he goes over to the broadcast booth and I believe gave Michael Cole a hug or shook his hand. Something to that effect.
And then, just last night at The Royal Rumble, after he got eliminated, he again goes over to the broadcast booth and said something directly to Michael Cole. It was another odd moment between the two.
What do you guys think is going on?? Or am I just thinking way too much into it??

You're thinking way too much into it. When Michael Cole's character starts to make more sense (if that is ever to happen) then maybe we can look into it alittle more.

Hmmm. I think he just went to Cole and basically told him he's done playing games and is on the war path to Miz, knowing Cole will deliver the message tonight.
All this from a kayfabe perspective.

I just watched the clip and I still think there's a connection between the two. I mean, why would he only hug/shake hands with Cole?? Lawler was right there too. I would think being a wrestler, you'd want to say goodbye to other fellow wrestlers, like Lawler, not just Michael Cole, of all people.
Ah, I'm sure we'll find out soon enough what all this means. I'll be watchin'.

I thought it was weird when he hugged Michael Cole too... but I thought they might be trying to give the impression that he was really leaving. Like "wow he even hugged Michael Cole goodbye!"
He also hugged Sign Guy. lol.
When he went up to Michael Cole last night, he said "Miz is done!"

I don't know what I'm doing up this early but I had to get into this one. During Michael Cole's entire heavy heel run, he's remained constantly pro Cena. That's why Cena had that moment with him before he 'lost his job.'
Last night was his way of letting Cole know that their friendship was done. Cole immediately began bashing him after he went up to him

There was far more to it than that though Tom. It was even mentioned by Lawler I think that Cole supported Cena through his entire run with the WWE, did commentary for almost all of his matches and was a really close friend to Cena.
Obviously Cena believes Cole is a string puller for Miz, so he told Cole he was "Done". As in with the games.
