;DI don't know if anyone saw this, I thought I would post it. YES! Finally one of my dream legends might be a reality according to Bill Kerner. In an interview with CANOE SLAM! Sports in its wrestling section, Kerner said that they are in talks with Gorgeous George’s estate. It would be great to see “the Human Orchid” and “the Toast of the Coast” in figure form, also to the best of my knowledge George, who pioneered professional wrestling into the glitz and glam of sports entertainment, has never had a figure. Also with the Rick “the Model” Martel figure that would make the ultimate dream tag team Thanks Mattel I can scratch off Hart, George, Guerrero, and Andre off of my want list, because now they are coming into reality. I also don’t see any reason why George’s estate wouldn’t want Mattel to produce a figure of him, since the WWE is coming up with a DVD of his life and a feature film produced by WWE Studios within the next couple of years. AWESOME link is provided. slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Wrestling/2011/02/15/17288841.html

A GG/Destroyer Hair vs. Mask 2-pack would be phenomenal!

That's great news for the old(er) school collectors! Mattel would do his first figure justice.

I'm sure this will be directly tied with the movie, IE: not anytime soon.

Hopefully he'll do well in sales, the WWE has big plans for him I read that they are going to market him as the "Babe Ruth of professional wrestling." The WWE is going all out with his legacy and this is well deserved. Who knows if George is a hot selling item, perhaps other pionners like Stu Hart might get a figure. Wouldn't that be cool to see.
Also the hair, George was famous for flicking bobbipins into the crowd. I wonder if Mattel will have "real hair" like Hasbro did the Doink the Clown figure and Jakks did George Steele's body hair?
Plus will this be in the Legends line, exclusive, or Defining moments. We'll just have to wait and see.

I'm curious. Hey if he sells more power to his fans. That's good for all of us.

he not gonna sell. no kids gonna buy that figure. While I hate your negativity, you have a good point. Then again, I'd imagine one of two things would happen. 1) It releases as WWE promotes him big time with a DVD or something another, so the figure would be more popular in the eyes of your average consumer, outside of collectors. 2) Its one per case anyways, so it would sell well enough for Mattel, even if its not a big ticket item.

Gorgeous George actually had the FIRST wrestling figure, ever, a doll made in his likeness way back when

he not gonna sell. no kids gonna buy that figure. Disagree with the first sentence. Agree with the second. It will sell as an adult collectible. How many kids are buying Terry Funk, George Steele, etc? I don't think the legends line is aimed at kids.
