I'm sure this has been answered a billion times since Mattel took over, but I remember reading that R3 heads fit on mattel bodies.
I purchased an extra Brian Pillman with the intent to create a Chris Benoit, my question is will an R3 Benoit head fit nicely and match in skin tone to a Mattel Pillman body? any help would be appreciated

Not sure about the skintone but R3 Benoit head would need some modifying to fit properly on a Mattel body.

I've been using some R3 heads on my Mattel figures for my customs. Some work is needed to do so, but they fit to scale pretty well. You have to hollow out the hole where the peg would go into for it to not make him look like he has a long neck. As for the skintone, not really sure on that one, but you can do a comparison when you have the head and Pillman body together.

thanks for the help, I found a RA head scan that I think works well and won't make me have to do any modifying

I been trying all day and its made only a slight difference.

I'm not sure about Benoit's skin tone but it seems that the R3 heads do work well in general. So far, I've put together the base for an Elite Hogan with a R3 head and I'm happy with the way it's coming together: I also noticed that the head rests just a bit high on the neck (It's a little more noticeable in other angles). It's very slight but perhaps I will try to hollow out the head a bit. R3 heads are definitely the best to keep in scale, though!

Just kinda depends, but usually the Xacto knife is what I generally use for this.

I have the R3 Kane head being used for one of my Mattel Kane customs, it's probably the best masked Kane headscan as well best suite for the Mattel body. Kaneisdaman is the one who told me about that head working best, but he out of everyone would know best when it's Kane related.

i dunno, some need work but others don't. i made basic versions of RVD and Scott Hall - they're not done yet, but here's what i got so far i think they work pretty well and don't require any further modification head-wise. i also debated buying a pillman the other day to make a benoit but i don't have an R3 head (d'oh!). let us know how it works out...

I'd love to see a short haired R3 Kurt Angle on a Elite Swagger's body with corrected skin tone.

would this head fit on mattels? I'm pretty sure the User "FAVE" used that head and it looked pretty good. I'm pretty sure that the pants fit as well.

The "finishing move" or "final count figures" are a perfect fit. No Modification needed, heat them up and pull them off. So far I've used Benoit's head on Pillman's body. Perfect size and color. I used Finishing move Eddie's head on Chavo's body. It isn't the best sculpt but size and color is perfect. The RA heads seemed too big. Good enough until the official Mattel figure.

My question is why do people want to do customs to honor a murderer? He really doesnt deserve it no matter how good of a wrestler he was. That is exactly why jakks or Mattel won't make any official figures of him

I guess they choose to honor his wrestling talent.
I'm with you though. If he just committed suicide I'd have no second thoughts about adding a Benoit to my collection, but as is I have no desire to have a Benoit figure in my collection.

People want to honour CHRIS BENOIT because he was a phenomenal wrestler. What he did outside of the ring does not affect how i thought of him as a wrestler.
