I think you would be fine if you switch your gear. The gear you have is more suited for a strong style wrestler. Which no offense, but you don't have the look for. You would be much better off wearing tights. Also as someone else mentioned hit the gym. You don't have to be jacked huge but you can be small and still have muscle. Lastly don't let anyone tell you that you can't do something if it's your dream. Always go out there and prove your doubters wrong.

i've honestly always believed that besides being in shape and such, you have to have legit attire have the look, which means either; tights, biker shorts, trunks, or a singlet. I've never been a fan of the baggy pants, baggy shorts, etc... now take a look at me from my indy days... Now I'm a small dude, i'm a small 5'8, 5'9 pale boy. I weight train constantly, but I've never really broken 175-180, but if i could say so, I think the tights and boots really made me look kind of like a wrestler haha. It's all about how you present yourself, right now you've got the generic indy look, not saying i didn't. Keep hittin the gym and get some good ring attire, i garuntee you'll second guess yourself less.

as others said, you need muscle. you just don't look like a threat. i'm about the same size as you...and i'd had dreams of getting into wrestling too. but at the end of the day, if you do not have more muscle (with emphasis on your back muscle), then you're gonna get injured. especially since you're smaller and will probably rely on spots to win yourself over.
keep trying, but if you don't gain major weight it's just not gonna happen.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I'll be working on bulking up. I'll have to plan out a new diet haha.

Basically, it all depends on where you want to go. All of the trainers at FCW will be the first to tell you that pro wrestling is a very "conmetic" business. You could have all the talent in the world, but if you don't have the "right look" or a look that sets you apart from everyone else, why would they hire you? They will also tell you that the colors red and black on your gear, do nothing but scream the word "Indy" to them. If you look at 90% of guys on most indy rosters, you will find that the majority of the workers wear black and red. Best of luck to you man. May see you out there one day.

To build off what the other guys are saying, really work on putting on some weight, gaining size can't hurt you, 30-40 lbs more would really fit your frame.
2nd, the shirt and the shorts... maybe think about switching to a singlet. Character is great, but when you're trying to get booked on indies where no one knows you then the more professional your look is, then the more seriously a booker is going to take you.
3rd: your hair, it's fine, but you could think about doing something more interesting with it. Anything that could separate you from being just another face in the crowd. You want people to notice you after all.

Bro the thing with size is not simply about who's bigger or whathaveyou but, essentially, it's to look as if you can win a fight. If you're in a bar and you see two guys about to go at it and one guy looks like you, kind of a skinny guy and whatnot, and then the other dude's all muscled up, people are going to immediately assume the big guy's gonna win the fight. Maybe that's not the case in reality but that's how it appears.
So I'd suggest dropping the t-shirt, lift some weights maybe focusing more on multiple reps of lower weight to at least have good tone, and also I'd suggest getting a tan. But seriously you gotta lose the shirt, wrestlers wearing t-shirt immediately screams "backyard wrestler" or "indy geek".

Or the shirt says "I'm out of shape, I know I'm out of shape, but I hope you guys don't know that I'm out of shape if I wear a shirt!" It's the same reason I wore a shirt for the few shows I was booked on....and also the reason I only worked a few shows. Think about it.
I agree also, when you're in the indies, no one knows your character, so it's all about look. And you have to look like you could win a fight.

Outside of adding some more muscle, just get some real gear. It won't cost all that much if you know where to look. Looking at your other features, you certainly could have the look, just need some tweaking Developing a type of character wouldn't hurt either.

Dude you look ok man I am 5"11 and tubby as hell but I can I get booked in the scotland area all the time because I have character and can wrestle but I agree lose the shirt and show people that your size doesn't make you any less of a man.
