Not bored with them at all. Their articulation provides a better range of motion than past figures in the same style (RA, TTL, R3) and while I like Elites I find that all the Elite figures in trunks all look like they have reverse wedgies going on. I just display my figures, but I've yet to have either a Basic or Elite styled figure fall over on the shelves.

When Series 1 came out, I bought all the Basic and Elite figures but I immediately preferred the Elite figures. I don't mind the torso joint and like the added articulation that allows them to do more wrestling moves. Also, the extra accessories make them a better value, I feel.
After a couple of series, I mostly focus on Elite & Legends figures and stopped buying Basics. I'll pick up some Basics if I want to do a headswap, like with Elite Kozlov or Cena. The only Basics I'll pick up regularly are the Divas and I'm glad their articulation is closer to the Elite style anyway.
I skipped on almost all the exclusively Basic figures, like Knox, Shelton, and Dreamer, but I did get the Hurricane and the Colons. The only one who might remain as a Basic in my collection is the Great Khali. The limited articulation actually suits him nicely. So far I've replaced almost all my Basics to Elites, I'm just waiting for Sheamus, Bourne, and McIntyre.

I prefer basics, but collect some of elite. I don't play with them so I like basic more. Many of my elites fall over taking out everyone else in the process.

Too true. Basic are boring...
Only good for new/cheap headsculpts to swap for the bad elite one's!

I don't find Basic figs boring at all. I like elites better and all, but they are Basic figs and that is just the way they are.

I play with my figures, thus prefer elite. ( Im 13) I only get basics I KNOW will be a good time away from being elite. Originally, those were my thoughts with Sheamus. And Daniel Bryan, The Nexus, etc. Elite gives us DM, Elite, and Legends, and are much more detailed.

They definitely need to improve the Basic figures stance. As it's been said, the legs are too close together.

Hopefully mattel will come out some sort of new idea or some adds on for Basic figure like a Belt or Weapon. they did show belts for the Basic figures at Toy Fair...

more and more lately I have been leaning toward not liking the basics, but if its a person I really want (Daniel Bryan or Wade Barrett) then I don't care what style they are, I would get it anyway

Hopefully mattel will come out some sort of new idea or some adds on for Basic figure like a Belt or Weapon. Basic figures will be getting belts soon although they won't be painted, makes sense though. Also, there was a proto for an Edge figure shown recently with the legs widened a bit more.

I buy both ,but prefer Basics. I think they look better on display since they don't have the ab crunch cut on the torso. Of course it doesn't matter on the Elites that get displayed with a shirt/robe on. But since the clothing has a tendency to bleed onto the figures.i do not always display with their gear on.

I am with Marino 13....I will take Basic figs over Elites anytime as the Elite torso seemingly make figure look too scrawny. Having said that, I have bought more Elites lately as the accessories and paint detail are usually better.

i find this interesting...oddly i was more interested in Elites when the Mattel line first was announced. But i find myself buying only basics now...I also find it interesting that most people who buy Elites are people who were diehard RA collectors...And were adament about not buying DA style Jakks figures...Which im the opposite... I was a diehard DA/DI fan..but perfer Basics over Elites...I just find it an interesting topic...
