So after a year of talking down on the Mattel line, I made the switch, in a very unexpected way. Saturday, I was relaxing with my fiancee and the baby. When my Mom came home from a few yard sales, and said" I have something for you sonny boy!"... She reached into a bag, and pulled out 2 figs.... Rey Mysterio and Evan Bourne. Later research shows they are from the 2-pack series 2. Or 3. But she went on to tell me she got them for 50 cents each. She nearly flipped when I told her they were about 20 dollar figures. She loves when she gets a deal. So, I took my new figs, and just started fooling around with them, and suddenly, It hit me... MUST HAVE MORE..... SCREW JAKKS SLOW ASS... This is where the story turns south. I hit Walmart, Target, and Kmart in 45 minutes ( luckily they are all near by.. 10 minutes appart) and got the following: Primo - Carlito , Miz - Big Show, Koffi Kingston, Yoshi Tatsu, CM Punk, and The Hurricane. All basic's. So, I dropped $67.70 between the 3 stores... And now have a decently small Mattel collection.really into the Elite figures, Mainly because I wanted Primo and The Uso's, who aren't elite! In closing, I want to say all to the board who I have pissed off by saying sorry, You were right....Oh, And you Jakks. Had you released your product faster, and acurate ( i.e Snow boots?) You would still have a 14 year long customer! Quick question...... Is the Mattel elite ring a good choice? Could I get pics please!

I'd say it is. Seems like it's better put together than the Jakks RSR. I have yet to see the ESR in stores which is why I'm still using my Jakks MITB RSR.

I just want to see how the ropes scale up to the figure.... Right now Im using the the JAKKS ring that came with the Huge Hell in a Cell. The ring is nice and big. But the turnbuckles and top rope only go up to their lower back. Like a cm above their waist....

I never liked Jakks product. I've only become a fan and collector of Mattel's line in the last few months, and it is quite addictive.

Great switch! Mattel is quick, but they make great quality figures! Good choice.

welcome aboard..... i just recently msde the switch myself and im glad i did. as of now i have 3 figures and 50 more ordered and waiting for.
but i got orndorff, george steele and hillbilly jim and i just cant get over the size differences in figures snf different body shapes. Its so awesome, it makes me sick to think how much money i spent on the same figure body from jakks re-used over and over again with different heads... ugghhhh...

Get the ESR. It is awesome. I have it, along with like 50-60 mattel figures and its perfect for all of them. Especially if you have Hornswoggle. You dont have to lift the whole entire ring now. The Ropes are also very nice and tight.

Great Deal on the mattel figures. I was the same way. My first mattel was a 1 of 1000 Wrestlemania heritage Randy Orton. Since then i have never looked back.

I remember being really excited about Jakks signing TNA. I am kind of dissapointed at their speed. Their figures look good, but Mattel has definately impressed.

I don't think the Jakks TNA figures are much of an improvement, other than the added articulation. AJ Styles looks like a chipmunk.

Thanks for the welcoming support. I have another question about the ESR ring. Will the turnbuckles eventually bend in towards the ring? Like JAKKS rings would do?
