Boil some water. soak the leg for a few minutes, Soften it up real nice and then fix it. Boiling water will soften the plastic up tho.

But first try warm or hot water from the sink. Stuck joints are a common problem among all kinds of action figures. BTW, some people freeze their figures then move the stuck joint. I never tried this. Seems like it might make the plastic brittle and easier to snap.

Most people say around 15-30 seconds, but I prefer the whole minute, just to be safe.

I would go with hot sink water first, then resort to boiling water.

Return it, or just buy another one. Crap it's a 9.00 toy.

You must be ballin'. Even if it's 9 bucks, doesn't mean that it deserves to be crap. Return it, or just buy another one. Crap it's a 9.00 toy.

"Return it, or just buy another one. Crap it's a 9.00 toy."
Why even post that?
The OP wasn't being hysterical or slamming Mattel. He was asking for similar experiences and some assistance. Good grief.
Where exactly are any of the basics figures 9.00 Even?
Secondly, $9.99 for a BASIC figure is pricey no matter what B.S. Mattel uses to justify the pricing.
I fully think that one of the OLDEST and LARGEST toy companies in the WORLD......SHOULD be able to consistently deliver figures without the same repetitive problem over and over again. Basic figures or not.
Thirdly, Maryse is not an easy figure to find. I've personally seen FOUR total since December.....period. All of those at one Super Target restocking four cases of that wave to fill the post Holiday empty spots. It's not like he can just walk into any random store and find the figure.

You should call Mattel's 800 number. they're basically useless at replacing defective figures but they might be able to help you out somehow. As often as not they'll just send you a voucher for you to use in stores and hope you get get lucky at finding the figure again.

Charles, the reason we are "Basically useless" in replacing figures is that we produce such short runs in order to ship new product every month. It gets so bad that even here at the design center we have a hard time getting figure samples for our own use and reference. When we get a request for multiples of a figure to send to a superstar for example, we sometimes have to go on line or even Fleabay and buy product. We are trying real hard to produce just the right levels of figures so we can clear the pegs every month to make room for the new product. Bad news is we can't always replace returns. The good news is you won't see as much inventory building up on the shelves as you may have seen in the past. Hang in there with us, we are working on being the best ever at this and we won't stop till we get there. Bill
