LOL......So basically Rock will be gone for 11 months now. PEOPLE'S CHAMP! That's an absolutely ridiculous statement on your part. I think it's pretty obvious that he'll be appearing periodically throughout the year. He isn't gonna in disappear for 11 months and then show up right before 'Mania. It's obvious that you strangely have some sort of personal vendetta against The Rock, but I'll tell you that The Rock has accomplished more in eight years of wrestling than your boy Sting could hope to accomplish in 10 lifetimes of wrestling. lol easy there buddy....this is a message board, you're not cutting a promo. I have a personal vendetta against The Rock? No, I don't. I don't appreciate Dwayne Johnson insulting my intelligence. Dwayne Johnson comes on WWE live in the ring for the first time in 7 years and acts like he loves WWE. He bleeds WWE. WWE is such a HUGE part of his life......but it takes 7 years to make an appearance? You expect me to believe that he didn't have ONE Monday, Tuesday or Sunday off the ENTIRE 7 years he was gone? Sorry. I'm calling BS. He wanted to go off and make movies and for the most part, he gets no respect in Hollywood as any type of action star and his only success as a LEADING MAN has come in children's movies. Remember, people went to see the Mummy movies because of Brendan Fraser...not Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Now his movie career needs a little shot in the arm, he needs Hollywood to see he can be a charismatic bad ass character, so he comes waltzing back into WWE because the only ELECTRICITY Dwayne Johnson can create is when he is in a WWE ring in front of a live crowd playing the character of The Rock...his taped promos leading up to wrestlemania were garbage, and his acting is garbage because he doesn't have that live crowd to feed on. If you really believes that he loves the fans, loves the people and is never leaving WWE again....then I feel sorry for you, because you're falling for it just like he wants you to. I have nothing against him, I just wish he would tell the truth and stop insulting our intelligence....all he has to do is come out and say "yeah, I was gone for a long time....I still love WWE but there are other things that I would rather be doing with the majority of my time". And I don't see what Sting has to do with any of this....but that's what kids do on the internet when they have no point, they look at somebody's sig pic and start trying to cut a promo, lol. Is Rock going to be on RAW next week? I'd bet my life that he's not. But John Cena will be on RAW and Sting will be on iMPACT....so who REALLY loves the business? The guys who SHOW UP or the guys who TALK about showing up?

I would imagine that the Rock really does love the business, he just found something he can do for 10x the paycheck that doesn't destroy his body over time so he chose to do that.
Unfortunately, Sting and John Cena can't find that kind of career so they have to stay in the business, Sting especially who just looks like a pathetic, slow old man at this point.

Hogan/Rock > Cena/Rock
I don't care how they try to dress it up, it won't compare.

Rock/Cena could seriously be the best WM main event build up of all time if the writers treat this carefully. I am buying WM28 tickets for damn sure.

The guys who SHOW UP or the guys who TALK about showing up? Lol, cutting a promo? It's called having a conversation. The Rock doesn't owe you, me or anybody else a damn thing. He's an icon in the business and has earned the right to come and go as he pleases, no explanation needed. It honestly doesn't matter to me whether he still loves the business or not because he already paid his dues. I find it pretty hard to believe that he could compete for eight years and then automatically flip the switch and have no feelings toward the business whatsoever, though. You're acting as though every waking moment of my life hinges on everything The Rock says or something. I'm a fan of the Rock, I'm just one of the millions. I'm simply happy that he's back, cutting fantastic promos and getting involved in huge angles. Now he's going to wrestle to top it off? Sign me up. If you can't get excited for The Rock returning to in-ring action at Wrestlemania of all places, then I'm not sure you can consider yourself a true fan of wrestling. Perhaps you should spend less time being a smark and more time enjoying a true legend in this business who just so happens to still be young enough that he can work another match.

I love the idea of this. I don't even care if The Rock disappears for a year. It would be worth it.

I thinks its fairly safe to say Rock will be gone for a while. Fast 5 coming out at the end of the month, he's not gonna have time. I would assume he would be back in early 2012.

Rock will be around between now and Mania, I'd imagine. He won't be on every week, but I'm sure we'll get promos from him via satellite and stuff. I really don't know what they're gonna do to make sure everybody remembers this feud for an entire year, though. Will they just have Cena move on and feud with somebody else starting next week and act as if none of this even happened for a few months? It's just disappointing the way they built everything up for the past 2 months as if it was all going to culminate at this year's Mania or at the very latest SummerSlam, and now we have to wait to get a conclusion for an entire year. I still think there's a strong chance The Rock wrestles before Mania next year, I really do.
And Lorenzo, The Rock has made a sh*t ton of money from his kids movies and he's still getting action roles. He's not returning to the WWE because he needs the money or because he wants to show Hollywood he can be a badass, that's just ridiculous.

I believe The Rock can be a great action star, but I still don't feel like he's found his "Predator" or his "Pitch Black" movie yet, that one role that is totally his.

I didn't say he didn't make a sh*t ton of money from his kids movies.....but when he left the WWE to make movies I don't think he envisioned himself being in Race to Witch Mountain, Tooth Fairy, and whatever the hell that stupid movie was about him being a football player and his long lost daughter moves in....he wanted to be a bad ass action star....and it hasn't happened. It's the same reason Trish Stratus is back....she thought she was going to be an actress and some kind of Jillian Michaels fitness guru....and it hasn't happened for her either. The reason she's back and doing Tough Enough is because she hopes that this will land her future roles on USA Network shows and USA Network TV movies. Some of these men and women just need to face the facts that the only roles they can play to perfection are their roles in the WWE. You take Dwayne Johnson and ask him to play anything other than The Rock in a WWE ring in front of a live WWE audience and the magic, or ELECTRICITY, just isn't there. Same with Trish Stratus...she's a legendary Diva in the WWE, but you take her out of that role and ask anybody else in Hollywood what they think of her and she just becomes some random person. She is only important in WWE.

First off, while he hasent before, the moment Rock cost Cena the main event at Mania, he did owe us a match. He would burn in hell for not wrestling after pulling all this crap. (Chill. Strong words but u get the point....)
Well, anyone who thinks Rock is going to come back anytime before the Royal Rumble, you're justy going to be let down. Rock needs to promote and make movies. Not trying to be a dick but thats his primary job. He'll make a tremendous return at either the Rumble or Elimination Chamber, but other then that he's gone. Cena's going to continue feuding and when the time is right, it'll start. The Rock isnt going to "check in" with us or any cheap crap.
Otherwise I'm pretty satisfied with this. Its going to take a year, but better late then the more then likley never. If I learned anything about Dwayne Johnson, is take his words lightly. Until this feud restarts, im not holding my breathe. But if it does happen, damn will it be glorious.

One thing. If Rock leaves for 9 months, and then comes back 3 months before Mania to promote the match, I DO NOT want to hear about a year's worth of build. If people want to say that then it better damn well be a year's worth of actual build. And also BTW, ROCK WINS. I don't care about anyone saying Rock needs to give Cena the rub, Rock needs to repay, etc. GTFO with that. Rock saved WM27 somewhat, already has a huge part in WM28, and he is the biggest thing thats happened to WWE in the last few years even if he hasn't seemed as dedicated in his return. Rock is IT right now.

I am shocked that we are POSSIBLY getting one year of build-up for a WrestleMania match. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the first time we've had a Mania match booked right after a Mania?
I'm hyped.

We all know that the Rock will win this - with WM 28 being in Miami, Florida! That being said, i'm already excited for the match for obvious reasons.
