A lot of teams could use a cheaper, less effective Andrew Bynum.

Yeah they could but the league isn't built around big centers anymore. You don't really need them to win. Oden is big and takes up space so I can why most teams would at least be interested in him.

Yeah, looking at your opinions I guess Oden over Durant seemed like a good idea at the time. Anybody else here a bit disappointed with the trade deadline deals today? Nothing really groundbreaking happened like I'd hoped. Happy to see OKC pick up Brewer but sad to see Maynor go. Maynor's career's taken a bit of a dip since his best friend left OKC and he had that knee injury. Wish OKC would've just gone deep into the luxury tax and kept Harden, would've helped them a lot.

I hope Smith doesn't end on the Bucks, they look like a hard working team. :/

Yeah but sign and trades aren't as good as they used to be.

But I'm fine as long as they don't resign him. Just want him gone.

Was surprised the Bucks didn't offer Ellis in the potential Smith deal (being reported as a last second back out). Considering that Ellis can walk this summer (unrestricted FA) and the fact they got Reddick for not much, they could have had a pretty solid lineup of...
PG - Jennings SG - Reddick SF - Ilyasova PF - Smith C - Sanders
Would have been pretty solid and with that lineup they probably could have pushed for the 5-7 seed in the East instead of fighting for the 8th.

Danny Granger returns to the Pacers tonight! I hope he comes off the bench.

Saw Jared Jeffries at the mall today. The real treat was his GF. One of the hottest girls I've ever seen.

I wish I didn't have school so often or lived in Portland, they look like a really exciting team for the future.

I wish I didn't have school so often or lived in Portland, they look like a really exciting team for the future. Eh. They have a looooong way to go. They have nice starting 5 and a historically awful bench(worst statistical production in the NBA's last 15 years). With a solid bench I think they're a playoff team no doubt, but that's about as far as they could go with what they have. They have some great players, but nothing I would consider elite. As much as I love Damian Lillard, I don't think his ceiling is at a superstar level. He's very good and will be a great player throughout his career and maybe make an all-star team here and there, but he's not Chris Paul or Derrick Rose. That's not a bad thing, but if they ever want to win a title, they're gonna need an elite player to do so and I'm just not convinced he'll ever get there. That's not to say you can't build WITH him, you absolutely can, he's a nice piece, but I definitely wouldn't push my chips to the middle and go "I'm all in", with Lillard either, not yet at least. They need more talent.

How amazing would it be if OKC had managed to keep all their drafted/young stars together?
Kevin Durant James Harden Russell Westbrook Jeff Green Serge Ibaka Eric Maynor Rodrigue Beaubois Eric Bledsoe Quincy Pondexter Daequon Cook Carl Landry
Still would lack a center but that IMO is a really solid line-up. Shame they decided to trade so many of those guys away early. That Landry situation always baffles me.

Shame they decided to trade so many of those guys away early. That Landry situation always baffles me. OKC has a great young core but the bottom line is they are one of the smaller markets in the league. Even w/ their success over the last few years, they still don't bring in the revenue like LA, NY, and Chicago do. In 2012 they came in #15 for revenue made. They have big money invested in Durant, Westbrook, and Ibaka, but cannot afford to keep the supporting cast. Unless they can improve their revnue generation to get them into the top 10 earners, they will have to constantly change up their supporting cast. They have a great cast but unless they can get more of a scoring center or unless Ibaka can become more of a post scorer, they won't beat the Heat. The Thunder rely way too much on jump shots and we saw how that went during the finals last year.
