How amazing would it be if OKC had managed to keep all their drafted/young stars together? Kevin Durant James Harden Russell Westbrook Jeff Green Serge Ibaka Eric Maynor Rodrigue Beaubois Eric Bledsoe Quincy Pondexter Daequon Cook Carl Landry Still would lack a center but that IMO is a really solid line-up. Shame they decided to trade so many of those guys away early. That Landry situation always baffles me. OKC has a great young core but the bottom line is they are one of the smaller markets in the league. Even w/ their success over the last few years, they still don't bring in the revenue like LA, NY, and Chicago do. In 2012 they came in #15 for revenue made. They have big money invested in Durant, Westbrook, and Ibaka, but cannot afford to keep the supporting cast. Unless they can improve their revnue generation to get them into the top 10 earners, they will have to constantly change up their supporting cast. They have a great cast but unless they can get more of a scoring center or unless Ibaka can become more of a post scorer, they won't beat the Heat. The Thunder rely way too much on jump shots and we saw how that went during the finals last year. Do you think Seattle was a better market than OKC for the team? What was the reason for moving the team anyways?

What was the reason for moving the team anyways? The old owners of the Sonics couldn't get a deal done w/ the city of Seattle to get a new stadium built (which they needed). Seattle had a strong fan base but when they couldn't get a new stadium, they sold to the current owners. They still had a contract w/ the city of Seattle for about 5 more years, but many believe some shady crap behind the scenes w/ Davis Stern allowed the team to literally be moved over night. The current owners are from OKC, and they made it clar they wanted to move the team. Seattle wasn't a huge market, but it was bigger than OKC and one the the bigger "mid-range" markets. They had a strong and loyal fan base. Sucks the Kings are the ones moving to Seattle next year because they have a strong fan base as well. They just had very crappy ownership. If anything OKC should be foced to move back to Seattle (atleat IMO anyway).

Wouldn't Seattle still need a new stadium though?

I believe the city of Seattle already proposed a plan to build a new stadium should an NBA team move there. It would take a few years to build but it would be worth it.

Rodman is probably my favorite basketball player ever. The guy was a rebounding machine. He could pass, make a three on occasion, and would punch you in the face if need be. When I think of players you wouldn't want to mess with Rodman is up there with Karl Malone.

I can't believe we're already in March. This season went by quick. Who do you guys see, or want to see, in the Finals this year?

Oh my goodness J.R Smith is going on a freaking tear WITHOUT Carmelo Anthony.

Smith is overrated. He's always been a streaky chucker who gets hot once in a while but overall hurts his team w/ all the shots he takes and his lack of effort/skill on defense.

Lillard is a BEAST, and the Spurs played like straight DooDoo tonight.

That was Lillard's best game as a pro. He was pretty awesome last night.
Portland has kind of owned the Spurs the past few years. 9-4 since '09-'10. That was the worst loss in AT&T's history, 2nd worst in Pop's coaching career. His worst was last season where he fell to the Blazers once again.
If Portland found a way to squeak into the playoffs(very doubtful), they'd probably end up playing San Antone in the 1st round. Perhaps Portland could do what Memphis did a couple of seasons ago and pull an upset? Spurs the far superior team, but match up problems can make all the difference.
Still, I'd rather Portland start losing. I'd hate to see them miss the playoffs and lose their 1st round pick. That pick is more valuable and likely than making the post-season this year.
