The world of wrestling will be a much better place once Hulk Hogan is gone.

Hogan must have Scott Hall syndrome, where he thinks just showing up in a ring is considered "a match" or "being active".

it seems like he's trying to give Edge his due while taking as many shots at the WWE as possible.
"Edge is one of the real boys 4 lyfe; he would totally keep going, but WWE is a media company, not a wrestling company, so he's screwed. HH"

Guys, take it easy on Hogan.....he just didn't say very clearly what he was trying to say.
Hogan is right. Edge WANTS to keep wrestling. If it was up to Edge I'm sure he would attempt surgery, rehab, whatever to get back in the ring......but WWE has told him that they will NEVER clear him to compete again.
WWE doesn't want him to become paralyzed or die in their ring....so he's done. They will never clear him to perform again. Simple as that.
But I'm sure Edge would keep going if it was 15 years ago and it was up to him.
So, I understand what Hogan was trying to say. He just didn't really say it the right way. He was actually giving respect to Edge saying that he's one of the real wrestlers actually left out there and he's old school and if it was Edge making the decision to retire and not WWE retiring him, Edge would keep going.

Sadly, I think he was trying to say something good, it just didn't come out right.
I agree with Lorenzo about what he was trying to get at... But man did he fail horribly.
It's also odd that he mentioned Andre and Arn since both did retire, and Arn did for the same reason Edge is now.

People don't want to hear this, but Hogan is right. Years ago these guys didn't listen to doctors and companies didn't care enough to pay extra attention to their health. It took tragedies like Guerrero's death, Benoit's death, etc. and all these guys dying at such a young age that the WWE was pretty much forced to start caring more about their wrestlers. These older guys were never able to get out when they had the chance, which is why guys like Hogan and Flair are still wrestling into their 50s and 60s. Give Edge all the credit in the world for walking away when he knew his body couldn't take anymore, but don't bash Hulk Hogan for telling it like it is.

Exactly....you look at a situation where it took the death of Eddie Guerrero and the Benoit double murder/suicide to make WWE start checking their "superstars" for things as simple as concussions and heart disease. It just goes to show how LITTLE wrestling companies cared for the well being of their talent back in the day. But this stems from WWE not even acknowledging their wrestlers as employees. They are "independent contractors" without health insurance and covering most if not all of their travel expenses.....so back in the day before big money contracts and you only getting paid when you worked, most guys if injured couldn't afford to take time off to heal or get the tests to be able to see if they were hurt and how badly they were hurt. I bet WWE retiring Edge is more of them not wanting the bad publicity if something were to happen to him on their watch.

Hogan never would have been sent for an extra MRI just to make sure he was OK back when he was wrestling. If you felt pain, you popped painkillers and just kept going. It's all the more reason that wrestlers should have formed their own union years ago.

What quote are you even reading? “my take is with a unfixable neck injury it’s over ,but he’s one of the boys and it will be hard to keep him down,he’s 4life HH” He's not trying to suggest anything. He's saying that years ago guys wrestled through everything and never had the opportunity to go out on their terms. People really just hate on Hogan because they don't like the guy.

The only shot he takes at anybody is the WWE by calling them a "media company". Not one time does he criticize Edge, in fact HE DOES THE OPPOSITE!!!! He gave him a ton of credit calling him a "4lyfer" a guy that doesn't quit and that's hard to keep down.
Either people completely misread what he said or they are trying to find reasons to hate what he said.

What is so bad about this? I'm not saying anything bad about Edge but he's a real wrestler, Stone Cold and Cena had neck surgery and u couldn't stop em, Or Edge it's in Edges blood, he lives for this business he's a real wrestler, he's a lifer, he's one of the real boys, he's hard to hold down, that's all. HH. Hogan must have Scott Hall syndrome, where he thinks just showing up in a ring is considered "a match" or "being active". Don't compare Scott Hall to Hogan. Hogan is a piece of poop. Scott Hall isn't You don't know anything about Hogan or Hall.
