I was wondering if anyone had this? I was thinking about getting it but I wanted to see if anyone on here had one & i wanted to hear what they thought of it, & if there is any news of a different kind of arena coming out?
Another thing is I have been hearing the the Mattel wwe figures break really easy is there any truth to this. A kid i was talking to said when he first got his first Mattel wwe figure who was Kofi his arm broke off.He then brought a 2 pack and the figures in the 2 pack broke.
Also I was wondering how do the figures from Mattel match up with the wwe figures Jakks did. Can you see a big difference in the figures? Because I would love to have both & have a huge roster but if there if a big difference. I'm going to have to decide what one do i wanna collect.I already have alot of the Jakks figures. It just makes me mad that I cant have Mattel Wade Barret go against Triple H who was a Jakks figure. So any help on these questions would be great & ill also take any tips on what people think.

Can't comment on the Ringside Battle set since I don't have it so I'll move on.
I've never had any problems with my figures breaking, maybe a few tight or loose joints here and there but nothing has broken.
Jakks figures were never in scale and were made with much larger physiques than Mattel ones, some of the bigger Mattel figures, Taker, Kane, Big Show etc may line up height wise with some Jakks ones. If you want to have a Wade and HHH match then get a Mattel HHH figure.

Some of the shoulders are very stiff when you first open the figure, depending on the way they were posed in the package. It feels like the arm will snap off if you try too hard to move it. I've put hot water over a few of mine to ease up the joint, or just move it gently for a bit until it gets looser.

I had a Legends Bulldog break on me at the crotch. Its mainly because for some reason Mattel figures are so freaking tight in the leg joints when you try to move them it causes stress to other portions of the figure. Ive tried the boiling water and the freezing and neither really helps. Its my one fault against Mattel, Ive never had a Jakks figure break but then again, they're so bulky, it would take a shotgun to do it.

I have and love that playset. For what it is, the ring is phenomenal and the barricade is definitely awesome. The announce table is also MUCH better than Jakks. The stretcher is the best one ever made for figures and the rest of the accessories are perfectly fine as well.
As for figures themselves. They, for the most part, do not break easily... I've never had one break. But, they have had issues with certain parts, IE the crotch joint on Elites. But, Mattel have addressed this problem and seem to have improved greatly on the structure of such figures.
Further, I continued my fed, mixing RA and Mattel Basic/Elite over the past year and a half. I now mainly have Mattels with I think four Jakks figures, but they mix up pretty nicely as long as you don't have smaller guys in RA and bigger guys in Mattel, IE I have a custom RA Husky Harris teaming with a custom Mattel Basic McGuillicutty and they look perfect together.
I'd be glad to take some pics for you, if it'll help. Happy collecting!

The Ringside Battle set is awesome! I got it for $40 back in November and love it. I have the ring put away, but the barricades I used in a custom way to go around the ESR, put down foam mats, and the announce table and basically got an arena out of it, just to scale for the ESR. Great set.

I'd be glad to take some pics for you, if it'll help. Happy collecting! I think that would help a lot of us out if you could provide some pics. I thought the barricade was short in height, and really haven't seen much pics of the other accessories.

The only real problems I've had with Mattel thus far is my R-Truth had tight shoulders, so I ran them under some hot water. THen my Elite Trips has a loose ankle, which really is unfixable for me, but it's not to bothersome. And finally, my Elite 9 Zack Ryder's ankles were stuck in place. I ran them in some boiled water, moved them around a bit, and, voila!! Perfect.

If you only get one ring for your Mattels, the Ringside Battle Playset is a good choice for all the accessories you get. The ESR is another good choice but if space is an issue, you can't go wrong with the RBP. I really like the breakable Announce Table and all the accessories, especially the barricade. I've been meaning to do more pics of it. I just bought a bunch of Basic rings for displays and still need to tidy up my display area.
As far as figures breaking, it's never happened to me. The only figure I had an issue with was Elite 5 Rey Mysterio. His right hip wouldn't rotate at the thigh joint. I tried to loosen it up but it seemed like it might break if I forced it too much. I ended up getting another Rey and that one was fine.

I'm hoping to track down the RBP at a reasonable price myself. Its the only basic (non Flex Force) ring I don't have. I don't know about playability of Jakks and Mattel together but I have displayed RAs with Mattel before and some fit in real well. Others not as much. Its hit and miss really.

I've heard ALOT of reports of Triple H having loose ankles. Mine does too :/ I think its safe to say that most/all Elite 2 Trips have loose ankles.

Check my thread on the first page, I put up a good amount of pictures that may help you. Unfortunately I don't have many with Jakks figures mixed in though, sorry about that.
