The Wii made me lose interest in Nintendo, but I am all for getting the next gen if it can live up or beat the PS3. Rumor has it that it will feature a Blu-ray drive! That would certainly make me more interested.

Wii was a major disappointment to me. The Virtual Console did not at all live up to expectations and there was never that one "killer app" that truly said "THIS is why you must own Wii." There have been some games I liked on it (the RE shooters, House of the Dead, Mario Kart, Zelda, some VC games), but it was largely a huge disappointment. The Super Wii (as some people lovingly call it) has a lot of ground to cover if it wants to reign supreme over the hardcore market. Wii's online was pitiful and very basic at best. If they can't bring something as good or better than Xbox Live, I fear they will already be doomed from the start.

That would certainly make me more interested. I can pretty much guarantee it will NOT feature a Blu-ray drive as that would mean giving money to Sony, which will not happen.

Mr. Awesome, it's not all that bad buying a Wii when you did. We're still getting a new Kirby game, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Wii Play 2, a Transformers game based on Dark of the Moon and I bet at E3 this year there will be a whack load of new titles announced.
The only thing I would be upset about is that the Wii will be dropping in price soon to $169.99 and may drop to $149.99 before Christmas this year.
