I'm seriously thinking about buying a complete moc hasbro set for $2,000. All are in excellent shape (pics look mint) and are all on American cards. 93 figs in total. Whole set and tag teams. No rings or mail away figs. That's about $20 each. Not bad i think

Are you planning on keeping them or re-selling them? Either case, I think thats a really good deal. How many hasbro figures can you get MOC for under $20?

Keep them moc and display them. I'm a loose mattel collector now. I had a complete loose hasbro set MINT including the Hogan and Bret Mail Away figs. Sold the entire collection to a wrestling figure/baseball card shop for $1,000 12 years ago. I just turned 16 and needed cash. Mattel got me back into collecting and I've been kicking myself for letting go of my hasbros.

Seems like a fair price to me. I'm sure if you sold them off individually you would make more than that easily.

its the same pictures as in the other auction though so i would be careful and ask for closeup pics in a different layout than what is up there right now...

ok....had to bring this up again. JoeRocco, did you place the bid on the auction for $2000, that ended a couple of days ago? I know you said you were interested. And, did you pay the seller yet? The only reason i ask is, the seller put the auction UP AGAIN for $2,500. So to recap seller list complete MOC set for 2500 - no bids seller relists for $2000 - 1 bid. Seller relists again for 2500 tonight.
I want to make sure no one gets screwed on this.
And thats an interesting point aok, are those the SAME pics from the UK scam??? Or are they from a set that sold a few months back for like $18xx.xx Very fishy stuff going on in here.

I was just thinking the same thing. I remember seeing the lot end with 1 bid for $2k. Today, the seller currently has the items up for bid at $2,300.00.

human the 18xx was the original listing i believe and the there was a uk scam using the same pics and then this auction uses the same pics again so tecnically all 3 of them are the same so all i know is i wouldnt bid on it without either being able to see different pics with some identifiable background or whatever put the seller in the pic or whatever or even have the seller shoot a video of him or herself laying out the figures 1 by one would best if it were up to me i would require the video for saftey involving that kind of money

I didn't want to make a whole new thread.. but does anybody have an estimate on how much the complete set loose would go for?

back around 2 years ago, you could get a full set for $250-350. Nowadays, a full set in good to excellent condition has been going for $600-700!!

Glad you weren't duped. Feel bad for whoever did place that bid though. Although, paypal is pretty good with protecting its buyers.
