was able to score Wade and Zach in local tru, grabbed all 3 Wades in front of the residential scalper it was great to see this overweight loser nearly cry when he couldn't get a barret to sell on Ebay.

funnier is going in there and buying them and selling them in the parking lot to a friend knowing you going to get it back later

Would you rather a WF board member buy them all to trade to other board members who can't find them or have a scalper buy all of them and sell them for twice the price on ebay?

maybe the fat guy wanted to keep them and i don't think someone smart enough would buy it for twice the money on ebay if they can get it for retail price

I think it's hilarious that you screwed the scalper. Trade the extras on here, or systematically take the Barretts back one at a time during times of the day when the @$$hole isn't usually there. I know that seems like a lot of work, but to me it's worth it to one up a damn scalper!

So as long as its something that "benefits" you (even at twice the price) its okay. Rrrright... much rather see someone get them and sell them at cost or in trades on the classifieds here.

To be fair, one of the worst ebay scalpers is also a member of this board.

Stuff like this does screw people. Yesterday I went to my local TRU and nearly pooped my pants when I saw a peg of new figures, behind a Series 10 Cena. And then all that went away when I realized that someone had clearly been there earlier in the day and bought ALL of the Barrett and Ryder figures. Major disappointment. I sure hope they restock.

Wow, I just went back to the top of the thread, and guess what... I live in Staten Island. Which means... the TRU I'm talking about is the very same one you hit up. Dammit. So, in reality, this does screw people.
La Parka, my venom isn't directed at you. if you hadn't grabbed them, the scalper would have. It was just really disappointing.

I forgot to mention I gave 1 to a father and son that collect in the store. I bought 2 Wades I usually hook up other collectors with them reimbursing me my cost.

I have also had a few run ins with the local scalper while i was looking for figures.
We kind of have a history together.I know what days he goes to tru. But since one of my friends from high school works at tru i can just call him and he will tell me what they got in.

You shouldve let the scalper buy them and "sell the for 2x the price on ebay". There's no way he'd ever get that much for them, so he'd basically be stuck with figures he can't sell, which is a positive in my eyes.

I dont know man, the only figure I saw that was selling for like two or three times the price was Natalya. Otherwise none of these figures hold any value outside of mass retail, I mean that's not to say you can pay retail on ebay, but I dont think double the price is the norm.... Hell if I could buy a Wade Barrett figure for 11 bucks and sell it for 22 plus shipping I'd do it. It just doesn't seem feasible to me.
Regardless, I'm happy to hear stories of sticking it to scalpers in all shapes & form, so keep it up!

I've yet to see a scalper in a store. Whenever someone describes a scalper, 9 out of 10 times they are fat, sometimes even greasy. I do see old guys looking through the Hot Wheels but they're usually not fat. Most are balding. I think guys who collect Hot Wheels are strange.
