I was just wondering if anybody could help me out with this
When was the Undertakers first televised loss? when was his first by pinfall?
Did the WWF play up his undefeated streak?
I don't recall them playing it up but I was only young. I think it may have been Hogan at Tuesday in Texas but i'm not too sure so I figured i'd ask the brains of WF to help me out
To make the thread interesting what other undefeated streaks were around that time (WM7ish). I remember Tatanka's was made a big deal of

He went to a Double-DQ against Sid Vicious, but his first actual loss I believe came from Hogan at Tuesday in Texas.
Tatanka did have an unbelievable streak, which I found odd. Ludvig Borga was the one that ended his.

I think your right man-Hogan ended it at Tuesday.
and yeah Tatanka had one heck of a run.Borga was chosen to end it ebcause he was gonna be Vinces new top heel(because of Yokos spiralling weight)but that didnt pan out.

It wasn't WM7 time but they played up the winning streak f later jobber Jose Luis Rivera in the mid 80's. He lost his streak to Greg Valentine.

100 % his first official loss came at "This Tuesday in Texas" when he was defeated by Hulk Hogan, thereby losing his first WWF championship at the same time. Impressive in my opinion.

I thought Tuesday in Texas before I opened the thread. I believe Hogan used the "ashes" to blind Taker enough to roll him up.

That's why its always Team blah blah defeated Team Blah True, but this was also the time where the winners of each match were set in a soul survivor event at the very end of the card. If Taker was technically a winner, he should have been in the final. It could be a real toss up. |

Yeah, I'm 100% sure his first 'official' loss was to Hogan at TTIT too.
By the way, have any of you guys ever seen this? It's a match from early 1991, recorded live in Spain for WWF World Tour. I thought it was interesting to see Tito getting a pinfall victory over Taker back when he was supposed to be unbeatable.
Obviously this was done for the "hometown hero" thing in front of the Spanish crowd and it was never recognized on TV (they were still saying Taker was undefeated up until the Texas PPV) but I think it's pretty cool to see.
