So my elite 9 came in today. I was real excited. They are all awesome esp. MVP, Zack, and Miz. Anyway I opened up Luke and noticed his legs were really loose. As in they would move up and back with no problem. A time later I was going to put him away and he fell, landed on his head, and his right leg came off at the joint. The whole joint and leg came off. I was very upset as I had waited awhile for this set. I ended quickly ordering another one from ringside. Just my luck. Hopefully the next one I get will stay in tact. Just thought I'd share with you guys.

Keep the UPC and call Mattel's toll free customer service..they will most likely send you a mfgr rebate for a replacement Elite figure for use at any retail store. Sorry man..I know that sucks.

I'm just giving my opinion that Mattel figures quality are awful with so many complaints about their joint issues. Everybody seems fine with going on Jakks board and saying Jakks sucks and everything yet when I come on this board and say that their quality is bad, you flame me.

It doesn't add anything constructive to the discussion. I'm not a Jakks fan, so I've respectfully never posted on that board. If you don't like them so much, maybe just let us enjoy them instead? Just my opinion. Back on topic, sorry to hear about your Gallows figure. I'm sure something could be done through Mattel to get that fixed or get a new one your way (I would hope?) ... Mark

Mattel quality is crap. Nuff' said. oh you must be a fan of Jakk's great quality like ECW1 Punk's arm falling off of every figure. as said above give Mattel a call and they should take care of you. unfortunately with millions of figures being produced obviously all of them can't be perfect.

After over 10 years of making WWE/F figures, they only had 1 major complaint, that being Punk. Meanwhile, Mattel has had numerous after 1 year. Do the math... if you can

My ECW 1 Punk is fine. Never knew there was really a problem with that. Anyway, that really sucks about that Gallows figure. At least you are getting a replacement figure. I'd still call the Mattel Consumer line about it. There may be a voucher or manufacturers rebate waiting for you.

Yeah, call Mattel Customer Service with the UPC on the card. That happened to me years ago with a DC Universe figure and they mailed me a Mattel coupon for $16 that can be used anywhere Mattel stuff is sold.

Since I posted in this thread to help share some advice with a fellow collector, I feel compelled to share additional insight after reading the above.
I did online reviews for almost all of the Jakks product prior to the end of line with the exception of the last 2 years or so. That being said, my only real complaint was the typical loose joints, to the point the figures could not be easily displayed without my shelves looking like a Battle Royal had taken place the moment I was out of sight and the lights went off. Yet, I still buy Jakks UFC product and have found a huge quality increase, with the exception of scale exceptions with the heads and bodies, but that can be said of other toylines as well.
Mattel WWE has become a staple of my current collection as well and my only major issue has been the Finaly Elite that came with his lower foot assembly reversed so that the back of the foot was on the front of the figure. Not a big deal, but an issue nonetheless.
Both companies had issues with lacking/sloppy paint. Jakks had major scale issues and inconsistencies and some lacking detail, but in the same token Mattel has hellish issues with QC on the DC Universe line, which I also collect.
My personal preference for WWE product is Mattel, but that doesn't mean that all Jakks products suck either.
10 years from now, a new Giant may rise and we may having the same dialogue about Company X and how Mattel pales in comparison. Flaming in either Mattel or Jakks sections is counterproductive for the collectors and WFigs as a whole.
Share your opinions guys..just remember to do it in a way that doesn't create hostility..we've gotten some great products over the last decade and that's what matters.
