I know it's been around for a few months now but personally I initially resisted this series. Not sure why, maybe it's because I had heard stories about it's host Dave Lagana and how he was kind of a dick. But I listened to just one last night and I ended up listening to about 3 or 4 more, and now I'm in the process of burning the remaining ones to a disc so I can listen to them on my long drive home tomorrow.
There's a lot of really cool stuff in them as Lagana and the other former WWE writers actually do remember the stuff they wrote or were around for, as opposed to shoot interviews with wrestlers where everything is sort of jumbled in their brain because they get dumped on their heads each night.
As far as which ones are the best, I really enjoyed the Seth Mates/Chris Gough one as they were around in 02/03 when a lot of stuff changed and they even talk about the 'event' stage Vince went through (Billy and Chuck wedding, Katie Vick, Torrie/Dawn/Al Wilson). And the story of how we ended up with the split of WWE Championship and World Heavyweight Championship is really interesting and kinda sad at the same time.
Court Bauer's was cool too as he already has a reputation as a wrestling guy and it's heartbreaking to hear that he was the one who pitched the whole WWE Juniors division...but as something completely different than what Johnny Ace and Vince made it into.
And even Big Dick Johnson comes off as a pretty likable guy despite all of us rejoicing when he got the boot.
So yeah, listen to these and enjoy 'em. I can't wait for more.
