I was checking Boscovs for some extra Ring Starz sets and saw that they still had some leftover Basic Series 5 figures. They were on sale for $7.99 so I decided to pick up a figure that I passed on originally, Mike Knox:  At the time that Series 5 showed up in stores, Mike Knox was already released from WWE and I had little interest in his figure. First of all, I was already set on picking up only Elite figures. Also, I never really saw much of Mike Knox on the shows. I vaguely remember seeing him on ECW and in a few squash matches but that's it. He just didn't seem to have a place in my collection, so I passed on him. Now, nearly a year later, I'm glad I gave this figure a second chance. He has a unique look and it's cool to have another monstrous big guy in my collection. He's like a wild card in my roster, ready for some random destruction!  Having pre-ordered all the new sets I want, I may go back and give some other figures a second chance if I come across other interesting finds! |

I've always found this figure to be highly underrated and unfairly dismissed by some collectors. I love this one and ,to me anyway,it ranks as one THE best of the Basic line. I know what you mean about going back and revisiting some older passes though. For me its just repaints though as I buy every new guy they make. But I regret passing up a few alternate versions of Christian,Rey and Swagger now. If I find them I'll pick them up now.

Seeing the earlier figures makes me miss the original packaging, it was much more vibrant than the current ones.

Seeing the earlier figures makes me miss the original packaging, it was much more vibrant than the current ones. definitely agree. i liked the colors much better on the earlier packaging, even though the new design still looks nice. |

Mike Knox is a great figure-he and 2 packs Luke gallows are very underrated

Knox is easily one of my favorite basic figures I actually bought 2, he was underrated by many figure collectors. It also didn't help that WWE didn't utilize him the right way.

Knox is a very simple figure, but Mattel really nailed it. The scan is great and his build is perfect. It's actually a very nice figure.

That truly is a great figure, it's too bad Knox was released before they could take full advantage of the beard.

Great pick-up. That's an amazing figure and it really captures Knox's likeness well. Seeing your pics really makes me wish I never passed on him.

What are you guys talking about? lol the Basic 10 packaging is almost identical to basic 5 haha there is no difference really when you compare pics.. also i kindda wanted Knox as well, thats a unique to just find out in the store hope i get the chance to as well.. im alot like you just collecting Elites only but there are some guys and girls you have to go back on and get too complete the collection considering they wont be made into elites, if your trying to eventually own everyone. I agree, so good find man i like the beard haha |
