– It was announced during tonight’s Monday Night Raw tapings that a new pay-per-view titled WWE Uprising will take place in San Antonio, TX on October 23rd.
WWE’s October PPV was originally called “Bragging Rights”, which featured Raw vs. Smackdown matches. The announcement was made during a commercial break.

Hopefully now they can get back on track with Survivor Series.

You mean SmackDown can't prove that the Superstars they lose in the following Draft are superior to the future SD wrestlers anymore?
I like the new name. Hopefully WWE keeps up with non-gimmicky names, as the last bunch they've introduced (Uprising, Capitol Punishment, Over The Limit and even Money in the Bank, which doesn't sound as obvious as the others) are much better sounding than just taking the name of a Match and expecting to skip to profits after only one step.
That said, I'll miss Bragging Rights' awesome set, name implications and logo.

So that means SmackDown is truly the most dominate brand? At least give us one more Bragging Rights where Raw wins it!

Doesn't bother me in the least. Bragging Rights shouldn't have been a PPV in the first place. Just have a 5 on 5, Raw VS SmackDown "Bragging Rights match" at the Survivor Series, it's much more practical. Especially considering Bragging Rights was just a few weeks before Survivor Series.
"Uprising" sounds much better anyway. Can't wait to see the poster/logo.

I like the Uprising name for a PPV. They should get rid of the Hell in a Cell PPV so we could go back to a once a month PPVs and I think Bragging Rights should be an every year concept, just not the month before Survivior Series. Maybe next year, they could replace Money in the Bank with Bragging Rights.

I too liked the Bragging Rights concept, and it should of been done better. If they are going to continue the brand split, they should definitely have Smackdown vs Raw each year. Uprising sounds like a good name though. Hopefully they get rid of the gimmick PPVs.

Always liked the name "Uprising". In fact, years ago when I used to play with wrestling figures and had my own little federation, I had a yearly Pay-Per-View by that name. Cool in my book.
Although, I would have rather they replaced a gimmick Pay-Per-View. I liked Bragging Rights, but it was positioned during the wrong time of the year. Would have fit well in July or around that time.

Good I hated the while Bragging Rights concept it in the first place. Its like we go the whole year without any inter brand rivalry then for a random couple of weeks of the year were expected to believe that all the superstars actually care about the brand there on and that certain fans are RAW or Smackdown fans. the whole thing was just ing stupid I get that we live in a time were the WWE have a large fan base that will basically buy into anything they say but I never got how any one could get into the Bragging Rights thing.

Survivor Series has been on the rocks for years, it wouldn't remotely surprise me to see "Bragging Rights" used as a tagline for Survivor Series. I don't understand why they have 2 PPVs in October as it is, though. It would've been better to get rid of HITC so that match actually means something again.
