– The promotional advertisement for WWE’s October 23 pay-per-view event at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas is listing the show as WWE Vengeance. The show, which was originally billed as WWE Bragging Rights, was announced as WWE Uprising at last Tuesday’s SmackDown taping at the AT&T Center. pwmania.com

Vengeance is ing back. I'd rather have No Mercy back but I'll take Vengeance.

You guys realize that no matter what the name of the PPV is, it will still have the same matches, right?
I personally prefer the name Uprising the best, but it's the card that will get me to buy it, not the name.

I wouldn't mind going to Vengeance, Uprising, or Bragging Rights. As long at the matches are good Im fine.

Vengeance? Only thing that would make it better would be if it replaced Hell in a Cell.

I liked Uprising better than Vengeance. I was also pulling for the Muse song to be used as the theme song.

True, but it would be cool for it to have a good name, or at least just not name it after a match.

Do you think this name change is the effect of poor buy-rates last year?

Vengeance is back? But isn't Night of Champions, Vengeance? Not an issue as Night of Champions is no longer. They shared history as late as last year, so I guess Night of Champions is getting Vengeance'd, which is a little sad (and ironic), if you think about it. Like the name and the news is still as good as it was when it came out yesterday. I hope Uprising replaces one of the gimmick PPVs with only the name of a Match as the show's name, but maybe WWE's finally realizing throwing random gimmicks at set times on PPV for $44-49.95 isn't the magic elixir needed to boost buyrates.

Wow I never thought WWE would reuse an older name for a PPV
