Was eliminated from Tough Enough so quickly.. Why?
Was it because of his backyard wrestling past?
Was it because of his skill?
or..
Was it because of his inability to "make" a character?
With only 2 episodes.. I don't think M-Dogg 20 was allowed the time to prove what he can truly do..
Discuss, opinions..?

WWE probably knew they were never going to let him win, so they got rid of him early to remove any possibility of him being discussed as the winner and to get the angriness of the IWC over and done with.

He didn't shine in his tryout. If he couldn't get himself over in front of 3 people, how can WWE expect him to get himself over in front of 30,000 people?
And I've watched M-Dogg since his BYW "YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" days. He is talented. But the pressure of a tryout in front of Stone Cold is probably a million times more nerve-racking than the biggest indy show.

He wasnt controversial. It was a reality show, thats why they let that big dude with the anger problems go to the finals. They want drama, not only WWE but the network. If everyone was nice and respectful like Matt then the show would honestly be boring.

His selling was lacking and they thought he just wasn't fit for the WWE. Not the first time it has happened to an indy guy

He had a chance to show what he could do in front of Trish Stratus. He was given an exhibition with Luke, but Matt let Luke outshine him and he was eliminated because of that.

They wanted him to do his top rope stuff, but if the other contestants aren't trained to TAKE the moves then how would he do them? He'd hurt them and get eliminated like the other guy that got blamed for hurting people. So they kicked him out since he didn't do them.

I thought it was crap. He was easily the best out there next to Martin and they kicked him off before lazy ass Eric and cry baby Andy because WWE has a hard on for big guys. Now we're most likely gonna have to see Andy's big slow ass on WWE television...

I think one of the reason they got rid of him is that they wanted Luke to win from the start and that when the skills challenges started to get hard that Matt would be one of the better ones and figured this was a shot to get rid of a guy who could beat the guy they wanted to win.

He was given an exhibition with Luke, but Matt let Luke outshine him and he was eliminated because of that. keep telling yourself that. I'm convinced it was a trap. They wanted him to shine. If he had went out there and done 450s and Flag Pole Presses and all kinds of stuff, they would have kicked him off for showing off and possibly hurting the people on the show who aren't trained at all. So he just does what everyone else is doing and does it better than them (half the people who outlasted him couldn't run the ropes). Yet he still gets kicked because he won't make mean faces for Trish Stratus. Idiotic.

Because he's too big of an indie name and because he's not some 6'8, roided goof. That's why.

He is boring. That's why. Yup. He showed no personality in his interviews, no personality in his in-ring work. The guy was boring as . It had the bonus of upsetting all the stereotypical internet wrestling fans, too.

Because he's too big of an indie name One thing we know for sure is that Matt Cross is not a big name indy wrestler. So we can eliminate that for reasoning why he didn't win.

I don't think they were out to get Matt because he was skilled. If so why even put him on the show in the first place? The exhibition with Luke is what got him in the bottom 3, but ultimately the showdown with Austin got him eliminated. When Austin got in his face and tried to light a fire under his ass to see how bad he wanted it, Matt was very timid and was asking permission to speak, while Austin was probably looking for Matt to tear him a new one as to why Austin was wrong to send him home. Look at the response from Skidmark and Andy they didn't hold back. While I agree that Matt was probably more skilled in the ring then 75% of the people there, personality is just as if not sometimes more important than skill in WWE. So I understand why he left so early.
