i just received my rsc order yesterday and one of the figures was elite 9 evan bourne. after opening the figure, he had a reverse bowlegged right leg because of the way he was posed MOC. it just sucks when you get a perfect paint job, and your figure is ruined because it can't stand properly.
i think mattel should just keep them in generic poses to keep this from happening. you shouldn't have to bust out a hair dryer to fix a toy that you're paying almost 20 bucks for. it wouldn't make me want the figures any less. what do you all think?

I think about 70% of Mattel figures have a bit of that reverse-bowleg thing going on, elite and basic style. I'm not even sure it's an issue of warping from the way it's posed in the packaging anymore, I think they might be designed that way. Some are a lot worse than others though.

Posed figures = my biggest action figure pet peeve. Most recently my Rick Rude from Big Lots had that problem. This question/suggestion should be asked at Mattel's next Q&A.

Only issue I've ever had was with my Michelle McCool, and just sitting her on her stand eventually lead to the legs evening out.

My Royal Rumble CM Punk has this problem, his right leg bows inwards slightly. It's not really noticable, just a bit annoying really.

Too many of my figures do this too. Hawk, Dusty, Akeem, RR Punk are the worst that I can remember off the top of my head.

My Rick Rude's left leg is completely bowed. It looks like he has two right legs. There's missing paint detail on his tights and his butt is pushed out from the legs lol. I've been meaning to call mattel about it

People have complained about this in many of those ask Mattel questions on various websites. The Mattel response always is they have data that proves that some people decide to buy something based off of how the item is posed in the package. Not how the item looks or what it is but just how it is posed in the packaging. Needless to say I still don't buy it.

They should just pose with their arms and leave the legs alone.

I could imagine some knuckleheaded Mattel exec putting two Evan Bourne mock up packages in front of some kid, "so which one would you buy? This guy who looks like he's waiting for a bus or this one that's doing some flippy move?" But it's probably true because many companies do it.
