I said I would never buy the "Barbie" wwe figs, BUT I was in TRU and saw they were on sale so I didnt want to pass up the chance. Plus I really wanted a Macho Man and Jakks has pretty much given up.
So I got the Allstars 2 Pack with Macho and Morrison, and got the Shiek and Volkoff free! I opened the Macho Man set. I have compared Macho Man to my Jakks RI/RA figs. I dont see what all the fuss was about over Mattel making a "better" figure.
To be honest I expected Mattel to be better than Jakks deluxe figures by far and I didnt think they were. I tried out the articulation and didnt think it was much different than Jakks Deluxe. I guess all the fuss was over Mattel being to "scale"?
I also got 2 Million Dollar Man entrance greats for 5 bucks at Kmart.
I bought the Mattels only because Jakks has pretty much stoped making RI/RA figs. If im going to have to start collecting from scratch with deluxe/elite figs Id rather buy the Mattels. Only because I see they are constantly pumping out new waves where as Jakks only shows me protos and delivers one 1 wave every 6 months.
Still though I only plan on buying figs of guys I like/remember who I dont already have in Jakks form.

Lucky that you found 2 EG Dibiase's... I never found one, let alone one for $5... Too bad it doesn't seem like you like them much. I have to say, I think they are far superior to Jakks RA or DA.

I was a Huge Jakks Collector Fan till i Seen Legends Series 5 . Mattel > Jakks, No comparison in my mind. Mattel Has Scale and More accurate looking figures. Jakks Ra's and Da's Every figure had the same torso practically. Rey mysterio had the same barrel chested torso that undertaker had. and they were the same height. Go buy a Rey mysterio and an Undertaker from Mattel , you'll see the difference
Welcome a board man, The Madness will eventually get to you

Jakks seem to be made out of really poor plastic too with that horrible cheap shiny effect.

I dont see what all the fuss was about over Mattel making a "better" figure. Well, they actually look like a human being. Did Jakks sculptor ever take an anatomy class? And did you really not buy Mattel because they make Barbie dolls. Did you know Jakks made Charlies Angels dolls? (somewhere in my house there's a Cameron Diaz doll. ) I must admit I like some of Jakks head sculpts better.

And did you really not buy Mattel because they make Barbie dolls. Did you know Jakks made Charlies Angels dolls? (somewhere in my house there's a Cameron Diaz doll. ) I must admit I like some of Jakks head sculpts better. I have nothing against Barbies, my mom collects Barbies. Over the years I've learned a thing or two about collecting Barbies myself ( as gifts for my mommy). I just thought Mattel would put less effort into WWE figs than jakks because Mattel already has so many successfull franchises. Personally I am more of a fan of Jakks...... prob just because I have so many of them? Or maybe because they were the first line to do Classics/Legends? Or maybe because they made so many dif guys into figures? IDK. What I do know is I loved how I could get a jakks figure for about 3 to 5 dollars less than what most mattel figs go for. I know I remember the Jakks 2 packs classics were 20 dollars? Where as Mattels are 30? That's 10 dollars more for pretty much the same thing. Sure mattel is elite and all but the figures are considerably smaller. The way I see it Mattel is saving money on material costs by adding a few more points of articulation. And you know they pay the assembly line people the same amount wether it's a elite or a basic fig. So basicly you're paying 10 dollars more for a few cents worth of plastic pegs to make a knee bend more or a torso to bend. All that aside I went ahead and got the Jake/Orton allstar pack so I could get the Bush Wackers free today. I'll prob be getting rid of the Morrison/Orton figs soon. Im not a fan of Mattel per say but I do like how they put figures out in stores and dont make me wait 7 months. And I love getting figs for less than full price. I'll go ahead and say I think the Mattel Vader looks better than the Jakks Vader.

I personally prefer jakks too. They feel more like action figures to me. Mattel figures are scrawny. However, I do love how mattels are all in scale.

I said the same thing for a really long time, mostly because I had so many Jakks and didn't want to restart my collection. I even got a few mattels last year and sold them because I just didn't want to start over. Eventually I realized that Jakks figures look like something that is made for children and Mattel looks and is something for a kid or an adult collector. Thats my opinion, add in the scale of Mattel and theres no comparison.

I was on the fence for a while too and I was a jakks fanboy for a while but i have to admit Mattel makes a better over all figure. It's not a diff head on the same body. Each fig has a specific body type tailored to their look. They come with a good amount of accessories and yes the scale where Show n mysterious are not the same height helps.
I will give you this jakks is cheaper and they definitely do better help sculpts than Mattel. I hung in with jakks for a while but after all the delays and issues with di5 I have up.

Mattels are awesome. Stop being stubborn. Jakks was great back in 2001. Jakks were awesome until around 2003 when they released the RA's. I always loved the TTL, R3 Tech and finishing move figures.
